He did not say if he is going to post a public link on the main page, but I would assume he will. The new version is v.3.42. the new version corrects the parse error and also gives the alternate source as weather.com for weather information. Thanks Mr. Decker

os1smith: If what you say is true about NOAA changing html sites, it's possible still to change the URL within the weather configuration and possibly save the link. We'll just have to be vigilant and get the right URL and plug it in so SysMetrix can access the data. It could happen!! ;)

Still no reply from N. Decker through the email link on the SysMetrix home page. I seriously doubt we will hear anything. As with all good things, they were good while they lasted. I enjoyed the ability to skin the widget instead of a single weather module taking up valuable real estate on the desktop. Actually when the METAR text file is opened there is clearly a permissions clause from Winstep. But the pointer to the METAR data comes from within the SysMetrix

SirBedwyr: If you right click on the SysMetrix skin you are currently using, and scroll down to "Weather" and pop that menu out to "Show more information", you will (or would have) see lots more data. Not quite aviation level, but a lot more detailed info. os1smith: I see that about the old data. Oak Ha

i checked www.xymantix.com for an update to the problem to see if the programmer was aware of this. I emailed him via the link from his website. The SysMetrix site says the last update was '05 with the possibility of SysMetrix 4.0 coming out in '06. I know he hasn't worked on it in a while and most likely has other committments. Windows 7 widgets, and Yahoo widgets still work, but get their data from other sources. With any luck Decker might update the software (possib

Hey, Yes, still using Win XP, and Windows 7 and makes no difference... there are some sites that work. Alice TX, works, but almost everywhere else gives back this parsing error. Thnx for the quick response.. [e digicons][/e]

Has anyone else noticed that as of Jan 1st, the METAR data doesn't work for most sites to retrieve weather info? Almost every site responds with a Parse error. I've R&R'd Sysmetrix thinking it may be a corrupt data file but the problem persists. I read some forums saying it's possibly the Weather Channel but Sysmetrix retrieves it's data from NOAA. Does anyone have a line of why this is happening? NOAA's weather site still uses the same 4-character METAR codes and they don't m

I receive the same error. Aero is active. I installed DreamScenes and animated wallpaper through SD Central at the same time I updated my OD subscription. Here's a new one for this forum. I'm trying to download a SysMetrix Skin done by Dcrewchief57. It's the Gold&Chrome skin. No matter which way I attempt to access the file I get an http://404 Page cannot be displayed. He can download it just fine, he says. Check this out. Type this in your browser Address Bar: http://skins3.wincustomize.com/ and you will see a list of each file on that server being held for download by Uploader (if you have Autocom
