Thank you guys for your suggestions, I will follow Lantec's process and see how that works for me.

I am using Pro Plastik v2, and text on my Task Bar shows white. I looked at the classic skinning for the Task Bar in SkinStudio Pro, but there is nothing to make white text on Task Bar buttons. I am using WB4.6 on Win 2K SP4. How can I get some other color on the Task Bar buttons?
I configured Right Click to get it's menu skinning of WindowBlinds. I am getting a gray background with hard to read white text. My windowBlinds skin has no such menu skin in it. What do I need to change in WindowBlinds to get it's menu skinning to extend to Right Click? Other WindowBlinds skins I have do extend their menu skin to Right Click. I am modifying Pro Plastik v2 and it's menus skinning do not seem to work with Right Click.
I am wondering if WindowBlinds 5 will be compatible with windows 2000 when the final version ships or a Release Candidate becomes available. Any plans to support win2K? I cannot upgrade because win2K is a company standard.
I upgraded to the latest drivers (Sept 30, 2005) from Intel and I still have beige menu bars with white text on them, even thogh SkinStudio shows me that the text is supposed to be black. Any ideas of what I can do next? There must be something I can do within SkinStudio to get the correct color showing when WB loads the skin.
Not yet, I will try that but everything else works fine, just the menubar text color comming from a weird place. Of all the colors WB handles, the menubar color is the only one that I cannot account for. I have had this problem before on completely different machines and there was something I did that I cannot remember for the life of me that fixed the problem back then. I usually change the colors of skins that I like to blue(ish), and importing colors from another skin at times cau
I am using the latest beta of Skin Studio and have noticed for the last couple of days, that while skin studio is open, and I debug an Web App that shows a Crystal Report using Visual Studio.NET, after a while the crystal reports stops showing and I start getting out of memory errors. PC Specs: Win 2000 SP4 HP/COmpaq HP d530 SFF 2.8 GHz Intel Processor 1 GB Ram Intel 82865G Graphics controller 27 GB Free HDD space.
When I look at certain skins like KOL's VistaXP and others that use a beige menu bar using SkinStudio (latest version and older ones), I see dark color font on the Menubar. Yet WB will show a white font on the Menubar that I cannot see on the beige background. Is there something I can do to make WB use the font color that the skin is using? Where is WB getting that white color from?
Thank you for the clarification. I read the history that came with the file on Stardock Central, but there was not mention of Win2K not supported. I will wait until I see some news about Win2K Support. Thanks again.
WB5 will not run on my computer. I uninstalled WB4.6 and rebooted. INstalled WB5 and rebooted. When I logged in and ran WB, it crashed, complaining about some memory that could not be read. I always crashes with the same memory problem. Using Win2K SP4, with latest updates. All articles I read talk about WB5 & WinXP, any info on WB5 & Win2K? Is any one else having a problem running WB5 on Win2K? Is win2K supported yet? Here is my Pc's config.

I decioded to try WB5 beta but it will not run on my work PC, HP/Compaq HP d530 SFF with an Intel 82865G Graphics controller w/ 64MB Max Graphics memory. I am using 1600x1200 resolution. I uninstalled WB 4.6 and installed WB5, rebooted and when I ran WB to select a skin, I always received an error about some memory that could not be read and WB5 crashes. I have not seen anyone write anything about WB5 and Win2K, every article talks about WB5
After installing ED I noticed that my computer many times just freezes. I can do nothing but wait for it to come back. No crashing, no CPU trashing, no errors, just a minute of complete system freeze. Any ideas?
I am also noticing that Debugging my applications cause a lot of crashing if Visual Studio is not in WinFx's exclusion list. With Visual Studio excluded, I only have to deal with the problems launching visual studio.
Currently I am running WinFx 2.20c[b].003, but the problem also happened in the previous version. The OS definitely has something to do with it, I have used WinFx before under WinXP with no problems. No 3rd party addons to VS are installed, only MSDN Library help files. Also, the OS was installed fresh from the corporate image and VS ran fine, untill I installed WinFx.
I noticed that while WinFx is loaded, MS Visual Studio .NET 2003 generates an "Unknown Error" exception when it's launching. I keep having to unload WinFx for Visual Studio .NET 2003 to launch. After Visual Studio is running, WinFx can be loaded and I get no more problems with Visual Studio. We reimaged the PC and Visual Studio was launching fine, until I installed WinFx (lates version), then the "Unknown Error" dialog came back when I launch
I noticed that many times after I make a change to my skin and choose "Reload current skin" from SkinStudio, I get a blue screen of death in XP pro SP1. This was not happening with older versions.
This version of OD is amazing, thank you for the nice features and improvements. Only 2 things left to make this program perfect. The program somethimes looses it's Z-order and other programs will show on top of it even though it is configured to be "Always-On Top". The program does not detect the command prompt being launched, although it will detect the command prompt being closed. But even with these issues, OD really helps out with my productivity and need for eye candy in my daily work. Tha
On my home computer running WinXP Pro I can see Control Panel & DropDowns on Explorer windows skinned. On my Work Computer running same WinXP Pro but requiring CTRL-ALT-DEL to logon, I cannot see this skinned. ANy reason why? P.S. Impressive work. WB4 in alpha form already skins all the apps I was not able to get skinned before.
Impressive work. Do you know what the problem is with the trashcan? It has not displayed the true status of the recycle bin for many versions.
