Rose colored glasses and all. Granted this is a game. But we are seeing the Dregin through OUR MORAL SYSTEM and calling them evil. To them what they do is their natural instinct. Have to confess its been a while since I fired up GC2 But looking ahead? LOOK BACK. Home world style combat. Ok I take it back, to which corner should I be heading? I went across to the far side corner diagonal to the start point but no planet to be found. I then went down through the Yor and none of the planets there where the target. Where should I build my chain too?

I keep tinkering with the thalans on a medium galaxy normal. The economy crash due to population and expansion is troubling but I will find an optimal solution around it. All in all however this is the way a BETA should be Alot of players who play different ways sounding off The finished product should be winning some awards :D

Unable to complete a tech victory in Twilight in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I know that twilight of the anor is still in beta but I have been having fun playing during my vacation over Christmas I created and immense galaxy with I think 8 opponents, playing as myself leader of the Humans, with an aim to win a tech victory. Unable to connect to the metaverse yet I can connect to the internet in Metaverse GalCiv2 Forums

Ok thought it might be my router so finally I just connected my main game machine directly to the bellsouth DSL modem. Still getting this error(?) A connection to the internet could not be established. Please verify that your computer is connected to the internet and then try connecting again. Hmmmmm I am only using my dsl modem, and this one computer. I am posting here via the account I created just fine. So someone please tell me where I have gone astray.

Can someone tell me how to configure stardock through a netgear 614 v3 router in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Ok finally got Gal Civ 2 and the time to play it. Kudos to making G2 much much more than just a rehash of G1 In any event in my new setup I have 2 computers linked via a netgear 614 v3 router. When I click on the Metaverse tab in the game to play a metaverse game it keeps saying it can not establish an internet connection. I know this to be my router as sometimes it gets really flaky. Does anyone know what port or such I need to open to allow metaverse games <img src="smile

Ok for whats it worth. I have played many space style games. I played GalCiv on a friends sysem then got if for myself. Some aspects I hate, some I enjoyed. Being avid Master of Orion Fan, both 1 and 2 when 3 came along I was first in line only to run screaming for a refund.
