I would agree with the W7 UI. Aero > *. However I still think the Start* line is a bit more important. Unless MSFT actually makes a useful start menu. The start menu lends far more to productivity which at the end of the day IS the name of the game. At some point I actually need to USE my machine and get some work done. I am aware that the UI does play a big role as well. If like me you spend 10+ hours a day staring at it a dull drab UI can detract from productivity. In short W11's

IDK. Groupy and Start11 for me are required. WB11 is a fun toy to play around with. I think the UI in 11 has been improved enough to not need WB11.
I am the same way. I have a room full of computers but as a dev myself what I don't have is time usually. I have several large scale projects that somehow I just became the maintainer for in addition to my own projects. I did consider testing it under a VM just to get a feel for what does/doesn't work but figured many folks here already had. I also believe SD will have a solution at some point. Personally I think it wont be until 2023 but I'm ok with that. They may have some early bet
Transparency has been an issue since DWM was gutted in W8.1 I'm convinced that every version of WB will need to work around it going forward as MSFT doesn't seem to care. i.e. SD is going to need to implement it themselves and of course work around issues every time MSFT decides removing/not supporting something is a good idea which looks to be a lot. While it is indeed more work im still confident SD can do it. I only hope they don't decide to give up on it anytime soon.
I See. So using WB10 on W11 would be quite jarring indeed. I'm still on W10 and will be until 22H2 releases. However most of these issues seem to be ones that could be easily addressed in WB11. It just hasn't happened yet. I am pretty confident they will be whenever WB11 is released.
All the playful banter aside I am curious. I haven't tried WB10 on a W11 install. What, in particular, is actually broken? I am aware that Start11 does not fully support WB10 and I feel fairly confident that will be addressed in WB11 but I'm not certain of any other areas within W11 that are broken. Could someone who has tried it in W11 inform me? I simply don't have the time (for the foreseeable future) to spend on it.
Agreed. +1 for this.
Not to mention some of us have no internet UNTIL the OS is installed. I do use my MSA but have no way to log in until after OOBE where I can install software. As a side note the latest Enterprise ISO still allows offline install. Can't say if that will remain true for the GA release but as of now (well 2 weeks ago when I tried) it still works.
I can also confirm it does not work with VLC or Qtorrent either. You get painting errors when resizing. Client area is offset as if it isnt changed when processing WM_NCCALCSIZE. Note: it "looks" to do this that doesn't mean it is.
If i'm not mistaken it used to up until windows 8 when the start menu got the axe. It was then SD introduced their own menu (Start8 at the time) and from there skinned it instead. I could be wrong however i'm sure someone else will chime in if so.
I don't believe WB skins the default start menu. It does skin Start10/11 but only in the w7 mode
My hope would be better Start* integration. WB10 currently only works with the w7 mode. I have grown pretty fond of its W11 mode with multiple pages etc... and would like to see that mode skinnable.
Thanks basj. Sorry to hear that but I pretty much figured that to be the case. I'll try to get the extra scratch before then. Just seems like all my bills come due at the same time.
Was just curious about subscription renewal. It looks like I only have 5 days left but I wont have the extra money in time. If im a few days late will I have to pay full price again or can I still get the discounted price?

In start11 config select the taskbar page and then choose the "Always" option its the first of the three.

I can restore or close the application with it however it shouldn't be visible at all. This does not occur on w10 only on w11 [/quo
I noticed this as well.
The current version is 1.22 now have you tried that yet?

I like this. Allow me to second it.
I should have added reopen on last dekstop as well. I know it can be done because both firefox and edge do it. I've looked into it a bit but haven't found a wy to do it.
My wishlist for groupy. 1. Time delay between opening multiple tabs in a group. Sometimes they dont all appear in the group until you move them. I believe groupy can't keep up when launching 5+ programs. 2. Better peek. Similar to how aero peek works when hovering over the preview the entire tab should be made visible. 2b. Larger peek preview. I can barely tell what it is. 3. Saved groups export/import. I know you can manually do this but it should be an option
Understood. IDK about intermittent though it happens everytime for me.
The issue I posted earlier with the peek preview jumping to the left still exists
