Hey Neil Have you looked into GCC4TI yet? No huge rush or anything just curious if what I posted before was helpful or if you need anything more.

yes it is definately the program. It was written in the w95/98 era and slightly updated for vista. It doesnt work well with windows taskbar either however actual multiple monitors taskbar works fine. It also has issues with groupy I made a post about it some time back. Link to TIGCC which GCC4TI is a fork of. Here's a link to the github repo for GCC4TI And here's the groupy post i m
No it doesn't work at all. In fact no taskbar button is displayed on any monitor. ** EDIT ** I managed to get a button to appear somehow however it does not move when moving the window to another monitor. It also does not minimize/restore when clicking the button.
Thanks Neil I'll give it a try. The problem is for this one program Even with the setting to show apps on the taskbar its on the monitor of in windows 10's default taskbar it still doesn't work. Oddly enough the same program doesn't work with groupy's "One taskbar button" option either. I may bump that thread too as no one has responded since last Oct. I'll report back shortly. Thanks again for the work.
Sounds great. I definitely understand the "Forever beta" nature of windows. One of my main concerns was I use "Actual Multiple Monitors" Multi-mon taskbar which works great but is by no means compat with WB at all. It's only saving grace was you can elect to not replace the main taskbar so at least one would be skinned. I do have a weird issue with one program I use. Using the MSFT taskbar when moving the program from one monitor to another its button doesn't follow to the new taskbar
So 2 questions. 1. Since Start11 will use its own taskbar does that mean it will replace all taskbars in a multi-mon setup? 2. Would I be correct in guessing that when WB11 comes around the new Taskbar will be completely skinable? Also good work on the never combine. I had to actually buy StartAllBack for this option as there is no chance in hell I could twist my workflow to work without it.
Thanks again. This is really the only issue I have.
Yes it is still the same.
I hate to beat a dead horse but has anyone tried looking into this yet?
While it's true it hasn't been announced yet the official announcement is only 6 days away. I don't see too much changing in that short of span. I still remember the Win 8 fiasco when they first started removing/gutting things we had used for years. I hope the leaked build is not representative of what we actually get in many respects. I do like the new sounds however. I'm also interested in what stardock has in mind. I eagerly await what is coming down the line.
While I do hope all SD apps get updated for the upcoming update It looks like they will have their work cut out for them. While I understand the leaked build is not final (or is it?) judging by my usage the past day or so many changes have been made that will either break or drastically alter how the apps work. Start10 (or w/e it will be called see below) shouldn't have too much trouble as it isn't trying to skin the built in menu but rather creates its own. WindowBlinds on th
One of the issues in this thread "Fixes bars showing on other virtual desktops when you switch to them briefly" So I assumed it was groupy.
No it does the same thing for me. It only appears briefly and goes away.
Thanks Basj
Yes MSFT Virtual Desktops I do not have fences installed at the moment.
1. Configurable delay while opening individual programs of a group. But, not really clear what do you mean by this one. Can you elaborate more on it? Thank you, Basj, Stardock Community Assistant
Sure. For example I have a group which opens 5 programs. I would like to delay the opening of each. For example opening them o
Thanks Basj you are indeed a very diligent person.
Sure thing Aventine 7 for 10 Bluness 3 Just to name a few.
Just a few things I would like to see come to groupy. 1. Configurable delay while opening individual programs of a group. 2. Remember last active tab on reopen of saved group. 3. Moving a group via the tab bar to use WindowFX settings like Wobbly windows etc...
Yes I meant ObjectDesktop Manager. I can confirm unloading WindowBlinds or changing skins stops it. It also did it with WindowBlinds configure window as well. EDIT: I'm going through the 1500+ skins I have to see if other skins cause it as well EDIT2: I can confirm it does it for several other skins but not all of them. Also on some skins it does it intermittently and not all the time. With some skins the bars stay until I close the program causing them in
Version 21H1 19043.1055 WB 10.89 Beta Groupy 1.49.1 It did it with the OD window. By allowing it to fall behind a Firefox browser window by clicking the browser and then switching desktops. The issue stopped when I unloaded WindowBlinds from the the tray icon. It also Did it with the program i've mentioned here in other threads (GCC4TI) I haven't seen it with any other programs.
I still get what appears to be a window frame showing when I switch desktops. It appears to stop after unloading WindowBlinds.
Looks sweet.
You may wish to consider purchasing an ObjectDesktop license. It is a relatively cheap purchase for the litany of programs you get for it (much less than buying them individually) and you get some additional benefits. You get early access to new releases so you not only get to check them out but can also aid in the development process. You also get free upgrades during the subscription period and extending that time (an additional year) is even cheaper. You only loose out a few more b
What I hate, are bugs that go unfixed.
So you must really hate MSFT. Windows 10 still has bugs that were reported back in the Windows 95 era despite the fact that its based on NT's kernel. I feel you on the bug issue however as a developer myself I understand how some things can take a while to fix. Also as Neil said do always make sure you are on the latest version and also try out the betas as many times they include fixes which have
