Hail Gent....happy newcomer to the game and the forum. I'm wondering...how do I get to produce a caravan from my first 2 towns?? My first one is kinda big and has a merchant tile built...why can't I build a caravan already? 2nd is smaller but coming up and I want to set up a "trade route" between the 2. I am playing my first campaign game btw so have only visited the first 2 "allies" at this point. Any help is appreciated. &nbs

Was that really necessary to point out the OP's misspellings? He's obviously not a native English speaker. We have a lot of "Foreigners" who play and contribute. I'd like to see you type something in Hungarian. Or travel a little. :-)
Cheers Gents, got the new mail with the Serial in it. Close the case! :-)
I've upgraded to Win 7 and am trying to reinstall Multiplicity Pro on both Desktop and Laptop. I had to retrieve my registration info via eMail which came to me just fine. Multiplicity Pro indicates that [No Serial # is required] in that mail. The link provided was used to download the proper version of MP. When I install MP on the Primary, it DOES ask me for an Activation Code -- which I don't have (I used to get a code in previous re
Ok now we're cookin' with fire :-) Shoulda checked that dang Orb. Thanks guys.
Sorry Island Dog, That doesn't work. Any other ideas?
Greets Gents, I just bought a 1 tb drive and am trying to move all my games over to it. How does one go about this with Stardock products via Impulse? Do I need to re-install Impulse to the new drive to do so? Thanks fo the help
Hail all...I'm probably doing something wron but: I installed Uzi's Mod, and while after a bit of playtime I do see new planet types -- I have yet to see a single new Tech. I see Uzi's non-clickable logo in the tech trees, but no new Techs. Any input here would be most appreciated. Hats off to this modding community...you guys will keep the game alive for a long, long time.
Is that OpFire valid also for non-Capitals?
Thanks for that too. Ok another one: It seems to me that when your ships are moving, they stop firing at previously designated targets. Is this true or is it just a graphics thing? And if they stop firing, does that mean that a Cap ship fighting by itself for over 50% of the damage of a particular ship will get the full exp bonus for "finishing a kill"?
Thanks for that Annatar. Another quick question: Why is it that when I select a LEV and click on the button to "build Metal Extractor", that the damn thing will head off to the FARTHEST asteroid to start building? This is really annoying. Like a bad joke from the Dev's hahahah.
Quick question about Fleet Leaders. Usually I gather up a bunch of ships and click "Create Fleet". At least 50% of the time, it makes the leader a little frigate -- even if I have several Cap ships in the fleet. Is there a way to make a particular Cap ship the Fleet Leader? To have a Cap ship automagically selected as the Fleet Leader every time you do a drag-group and Create Fleet? Just wondering if there is something I'm missing or if this happens to everyone.<
Uranium is spot-on. Let the OP head back to the kiddie corner with his Xbox to play Mario Bros. A game like "Space Empires V" or AGEOD's "American Civil War" might make his head implode.
Perhaps a Subterranean planet type: -- More easily colonizable by one race than another. -- Very defensible from orbital bombardment. -- Low Pop growth, because of conditions forcing life forms underground (Poisonous atmosphere etc)
...Maybe: -- Planet can not be colonized till all Asteroids in system are being mined (for nominal artificial landmass)
Anyway, the planet should probably have lowered defenses, since anything on the surface would probably go down from a simple bombardment.Well if you were to go by the assumption that the population is all in underwater cities, then the defense against planetary bombardment should be very high, becuase the water would act as a damper to any incoming projectiles. Just another way to view it.
Yes also plenty of subterranean nooks and crannies to protect population within.<b
If you build only 2 Trade Outposts at the furthest stretches of your Empire, is it still beneficial to have Trade Outposts at every system in between?
Is there a way to pause the game without clicking "menu"? I was wondering if there was a way to pause and stay in the game for purposes of doing things like Fleet Creation, allotting planet builds etc. If there is an easy way, I have yet to find it. Thanks for any answers. (Of course I realize this can't be done during a MP game)
Glad I found this thread... Does one want to build a Trade Post in each system ALONG the route, or only at the beginning and the end of the route?
..How do I get my "supply" points up so I can build more ships? Also, how do I get more Crew available? I couldn't seem to find the "obvious" method of doing so from reading the tech descriptions. Thanks
Yeah I have all my windows sounds settings functioning fine, but no sound from the tutorial.
Yeah all of my scouts are Survey ships which I upgrade to Privateers when the Surveying is done. Why bother with a Scout that can't grab an Anomalie?
Some good thoughts there Nullspace...thanks. I think yours and previous suggestions will make for a better overall experience.
And Ahzi...while I like your naming scheme for planets...mine is completely different. I like to name my planets after ex-girlfriends. Helps me remember where they are. So far I have no problem with names in a Gigantic Galaxy~~~ Call me a Dawg, fine --
Ahzi...this is not something that needs 2 or 3 clicks. Just an option to "re-see the GNN" during a single turn so you know you didn't miss something...or can go back to it in case you hit "done" after the first couple -- which happens by accident way to often. Sort of like having "Done" hovering just over the "Turn" button on many screens. And the Minimap issue? Thanks Hatge for the support on that one. I'm sure most of us that are slogging our way through basically "playtesting" th
