Installing Stardock stuff to another drive

Greets Gents,

I just bought a 1 tb drive and am trying to move all my games over to it.  How does one go about this with Stardock products via Impulse?  Do I need to re-install Impulse to the new drive to do so?

Thanks fo the help

Yes, just install Impulse on the new drive, enter your account info and download.  :)

Sorry Island Dog,

That doesn't work.  Any other ideas?

Doesn't work in what way? Doesn't download? This is a new master drive you have and not a slave?

What about archiving? In your current set up right click the button in Impulse of the game you want and select 'archive'
Transfer the archive to the new drive and install Impulse. Click on the orb top left in Impulse and select 'restore archive'.

If it a new slave drive then you can copy the game folders across to the new drive and change the install location in Impulse to match.

Have you set the install paths from within Impulse?

Orb | Preferences | Folders

BIG THING TO REMEMBER:  If for whatever reason you have to reinstall your OS, if you do not first backup your registry settings for Impulse (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Stardock on 64 bit) Impulse will NOT detect the games as installed after the reformat.  Setting the download/install folders back to this location will not make it detect the games are installed.
