Leauki:
I fail to see what any of that has to do with you.
Worthless and flimsy argument. Black Slavery didn't effect the Nothern States, but if it weren't for them, slavery would have lasted much longer. Since I don't drink alcohol, laws against drinking wouldn't effect me, but those who do enjoy a few drinks would appreciate me voting to keep it legal if the question came up. I don't smoke so the stupid laws telling bar owners they can't let people s

In the end though, aren't you just asking the government to quit spelling it "M-A-R-R-I-A-G-E" and start spelling it "C-I-V-I-L U-N-I-O-N-S"? What would be the difference between the two other than spelling? It sounds like just another trick in the "forced acceptance" arsenal.

To me what is telling is, Pelosi and Reid found it necessary to investigate McCain's eligibility, but not only refused to investigate Obama's, they blocked efforts of others to do so. It also bothers me that Obama himself thinks it is beneath him to prove his own eligibility. What scares me to death though, what kind of mess will we be in if it turns out he isn't?
The people most affected by this bill would be the ones who don't die because of bad food. Or did we already forget about the bad spinach and poisonous peanut butter? As for your assertion that it would have any bearing on intrastate commerce, I would only point out Article 1 section 8, as well as the 10th amendment. But for the sake of fun, can you post a link to the text of the bill? Thomas.gov should have the text and history-- if the bill has really been subm
What happens to Iraq after we shut down and leave? I can't say. Don't worry, you're not "leaving", just carrying out the original plan which is to leave a garrison of 30,000-ish troops in a few remote mega air bases.
Can you say "Cambodia" and "Vietnam". Come to Sheboygan and talk with the Hmong old-timers about how great it was when the US left Vietnam.

Imagine if losers like this "congressman" got their way back in 1940... He's an idiot who resents freedom for the people of Iraq. He would have kept the jews in concentration camps.

Sexual Perversion, Lack of hospitality... those are both just details. Sodom and Gamorrah were destroyed for 1 reason and 1 reason alone... Charles:
What wouldn't surprise me is that he isn't and most people would say "who cares, he's already there", just like they have with many of the things he's done in the past month or so.
That's already happening. Sen. Mel Martinez (R-FL) said: "voters have made Barack Obama eligible to occupy the Oval Office, whether or not he meets the constitutional mandate of being a 'n

It won't end until Prs. Obama does the one thing that will bring an end to this question... Show the stupid piece of paper. Why does he refuse to do so, and take such pains to make sure it never gets shown? That's the real question.
Why can not any two people of any sex forma contract? That is what I am argueing. What "exception" are you seeing? I'm seeing an exception as it now stands; those two (straight) people can get state or federal benefits from each other . . but those two (gay) people cannot. Huh?
I am talking about Marriage as it is now. The Same Sex marriage proponents say that they should be able to marry who they love. However, that is a moot argument, since marriage laws in the

]quote]If sin is between man and God, then the law of man shouldn't matter to you here on earth. Or am I still missing something? Because it seems to me that you are arguing against a law of man that doesn't affect you because of a law of God . . that also does not affect you.
I'm not saying that because there are laws of God, we don't have to follow the laws of the land, I'm merely saying that they are two different things. One can be in complete accordance with the law
So . .lulapilgrim, Ted, KFC . . do you support civil unions where two people have a contract, recognized by the government, that confirms the rights and privileges now available to hetero couples that are married?
Absolutely not, not because I think homosexual acts are sinful, sin is between an individual and God, not between a person and the law. I don't agree with same sex couples granted the same rights and priveleges of marriage because the
