Ah well, luckily I was able to fix the problem with my advanced trouble shooting skills... That is, I waited a couple hours tried again, and it worked.

I'm having trouble activating my beta 2 copy of sins of a solar empire, I registered the product in stardock central, and it downloaded fine, but when I went to run the software it said there was an an error activating and to check my serial key. I tried reentering the serial key and the same thing happened again. So I requested the activation key through stardock central, and the email i recieved gave me a differet serial key. Which was... also rejected. So I requested my serial keys y
