Brad, Version of Deskscapes is 1.02.027 but this has been a problem for me for the last few versions. Thanks, Steve

I've never really gotten any good respose to this. I'll provide some links to pics to make it more obvious. Previews of Dreamscenes are visible in the Dreamscene selection dialog as in the screenshot below: Previews of Deskscapes are only icons and do not show any type of preview making it extreme
I cannot see previews in the window to select different dreams I have downloaded for deskscapes. Previews for dreamscene animated wallpapers appear, but when trying to select a dream for deskscapes, only a generic icon appears. Kind of a pain to have to cycle through them to display them on the <A class=iAs style="FONT-WEIGHT: normal; FONT-SIZE: 100%; PADDING-BOTTOM: 1px; COLOR: darkgreen; BORDER-BOTTOM: darkgreen 0.07em solid; BACKGROUND-COLOR: tran
Bumping this up again. I just downloaded 1.02 and still the same. Stardock, is this normal?

The big difference I see between Vista glass effects and WB5 glass effects is that along with the transparency, Vista also "blurs" what is underneath. This helps to alleviate the confusion that Randy Talks about. I love the WB5 glass skins so far, but sometimes it does get a bit confusing when the transparent title bar overlies text. Gradients will help some, but as long as the text beneath is not blurred a bit, it will still be a bit distracting
Hey Neil, Great work as always. Is there a plan to emulate the blur that vista does on titlebars and borders as well as the transparency? sos
Trouble here also with startup and log on/off with logonuiX........ WindowBlinds 5 BETA Troubleshooting Report: WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC. Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins. If you suffer visible corruption (overbright) on the frames and have a NVIDIA board then please be aware this is a NVIDIA bug. It has been seen on GeForce 4 cards and some FX series
will the blur be adjustable as well as the level of transparency? the screen shot shows the transparency, but with little to no blur. the effect is similar to longhorn but not quite the same. either way, still can't wait to get it!
Anybody interested in checking out Linux should try the Xandros distribuion. Based on Debian and granted not for advanced users, but out of the box the easiest way to see how Linux compares to XP for a newbie.
Also for Phoon, If I understand correctly, the Copy/Paste is not limited to files. I can have a document open on PC#1, highlight a bunch of text in the document, move the mouse to PC#2 and paste the text into a completely different document or program for that matter. This is not easily done just through networking....would require MANY more steps.
I'll take one meowy.....bostdan@hotmail.com....Thx
Using the links provided by rpeterclark in the message above, it sure does appear that his accusations do have merit.... Examining the upper right of the both windows shows it's almost a pixel by pixel perfect match. But the rest of the skin pales in comparison to rpeterclark's DFX skin.
Hey Brad, Does DX 2.2 have the feature where you can move the position of a widget and it will open at that position the next time you start DX, rather than the position that the author saved it in?
One background I'd really like to see, is something similar to the one that was in the Looking Glass Sun Demo that Paxx mentioned last week. It kind of looked like a shelf and the Icons were sitting on the shelf. [Message Edited] [Message Edited]
It's just an alpha release. The import functionality has not been turned on yet. Give it some time and the features will all be activated. Stumpy, he's talking about the alpha release of bootskin.
The only bad part seems to be that after you download and install it, it will not appear as installed on Stardock Central. Similar to CursorXP. Just a bit harder to tell when an update is available for dl. You have to keep your eye on the version numbers a bit more.
Now I have it. Had to go to settings and check "Clear temp directory when refreshing data" Thanks
Weird, all I show is .90a.003
Not a biggie, but was it ever explained why ObjectDock .95 never made it on Stardock Central? Just curious.
Could also possibly be that he is using the shareware version of WB. The shareware version does not skin some elements, only the registered version.
I believe Stardock has addressed this issue a few times already here. If I understand it correctly, the Object Desktop apps are being added into Stardock Central an app or two at a time for testing and debugging purposes. In the meantime, use Component Manager if you need to dl/install ObjectZip. I'm sure it will be added to Stardock Central when it is ready.
Great segment Paul!
On the Stardock newsgroups this has been discussed and there are a few different ways of doing it. One preson has written a custom prog that you can download and launch, another has posted a snippet of vbs code that works really well. Good luck.
Risky, you didn''t post to this thread, you posted to one on the message boards. And what it''s all about? Well a few people responded to you over there. In a nutshell, you don''t understand the concept behind subscribing to Wincustomize. You seem to think that you are paying for SkinBrowser. SkinBrowser is a benefit of subscribing to WinCustomize. Read more. You will be enlightened. SOS
