In Windows Dev Preview (22H2 Build 23545.1000), the Copilot button on the taskbar keeps disappearing (and sometimes reappears).

The system tray keeps cutting off randomly, as seen below. As soon as I take a screenshot using screen snip, it fixes itself, but will happen again shortly after. Using 1.4.1.0 (also happened with other 1.4 versions) and Moments 2.
Great, the Brad Sams version does fix it and I see the system tray again with the start menu centered, and taskbar ungrouped. Thank you!
I'm not on a Windows Insider build, but did install the latest update from Windows Update today. Will try the linked version.
New bugs: - With the taskbar ungrouped and centered, the system tray area completely disappears. - When Microsoft Outlook is hidden to the system tray, clicking it's system tray icon restores the app to a minimized state instead of a visible state.
Can we please allow setting a default search filter. It would make searching much faster and easier if I could have the search filter default to "Programs", as that's what I search for 99% of the time.
Could you provide more context, please, screenshots perhaps? System icons have been fixed for me in 1.38.
I'm also having a similar issue where system tray icons overlap. Have to restart explorer to fix, but it happens again shortly after. Almost always happens after resuming from sleep.
Is it simply not possible to center and ungroup, a decision not to have it, or something that will be done in a future update? Trying to decide if I should wait for this functionality, or give up and switch?
+1 for a centered Start button with taskbar ungrouping. It's the only reason I use StartAllBack instead.
You cannot. The enhanced taskbar features are not compatible with centred start button. You can centre the taskbar buttons from the more taskbar settings button in the taskbar page however. If you do not want the ungrouping and multiple lines and drag and drop support you can disable let start11 enhance the taskbar and you will be able to centre your start button.
Will
Request: The ability to add shortcuts from shell:appsfolder to the shortcut list. Currently, have to manually create a shortcut for an app, and then add link the newly created shortcut. However, these shortcuts lose their icons whenever the app with the manually created shortcut is updated. Have to manually create shortcuts for "Calculator" and "Microsoft Store" to add here: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/1/63/163736/74951313-792b-416
Hi, Just tried to download fences again to my desktop for testing purposes: Attempts 1-3 (With download manager): icon displayed properly. Attempt 4 (No DM): icon displayed properly Attempt 5 (No DM. This time I didn't delete the prior download and let it download a duplicate with a (1) automatically added to the name): NO Icon Displayed - Refresh Needed to see it.
I too have occasional issues where Fences does not refresh the desktop properly. I have my browsers set to download to the desktop and use a download manager (IDM). About 20-30% of the time, once the download finishes and my download manager puts the file together and places it on my desktop, the icon is missing and I have to do a manual refresh to see it. I use a regular fence that's organized as "place all new icons in this fence by default". Using
Hi Neil, Now that we've identified the issue, is this something that will be fixed in an update? Thanks, Kash
It sounds like it must be a case of not looking in the right place then. Could you find the shortcut to CCleaner in all programs and right click it, pick properties and see where the shortcut itself (not the app) is stored. This should be on the general page I think.
<span style="
One more thing I just tried: I disabled Start8 and installed Vistart8 instead to test, since that program also uses the Windows Index for search results, just to see if the issue is with my system or something else. All searches in Vistart 8 worked perfectly, pretty much exactly the same as when I was running Windows 7. (Not switching though, would much rather get this issue resolved with Start8 as the customization options are much better.)

Sorry, forgot to answer: It is a clean install.
More Results for CCleaner: I'll try deleting/rebuilding the index and will report results tomorrow.

If you are only getting a result under Documents for CCleaner that suggests it is not looking at the start menu at all. Is this a foreign language install of Windows? Do you ever get any results for installed applications? Ths should appear under Programs at
