Looks nice. Only thing I would change [judging from the screenshot] is the start button. I have a major aversion to letters/text on start buttons - aesthetically unappealing. Symbols win out here all day long.

I wasn't overly thrilled to have to install impulse to get an update but the installer is quite small, it doesn't install any services or force itself to load at system startup. Fire it up to update, then shut it down.

Strange issue with start menu transparency? in WindowBlinds Stardock Forums

Now heres an odd one: its been the same on my laptop versions 6.2 and 6.3 - there is a problem with alpha blending on the start menu on many themes. The shadow is solid and there is no transparency. However, when I mouseover objectdock with the start menu 'up' i see the alphablending kick in - the shadows soften and and the start menu show some level of transparency. I have a dell inspiron 1525 with a relatively crappy intel graphics chipset but it scores 3.1 vista index and can cope with WB

I don't know if I'm getting the wrong idea but I run vista basic (no aero) and the invi wb theme you show in your screenshots and my taskbar is black and has some transparency....sorry if this doesn't relate to your issue.

Don't all rush to help at once guys! Anyways, I figured it out for myself - I have the mighty styler toolbar installed and it seems that if you switch the theme service off styler will still work but windowblinds won't. If I disable styler and reboot, windowblinds works without the theme service. Incidentally, you can do some really cool things to the explorer toolbar with styler - it'd be cool to be able to do similar stuff in windowblinds don't you think?
