Hello LightStar, Thank you for the information on your experience with Windows 7 / 8 / 10 re: IP-10. This is good to know. There were no previous installs of IP-5 on this computer. (Or any other Stardock software -- for that matter.) Everything is working. I will just chalk this up to a bit of Easter Egg install. ;-P Up, up and away, - BbB55

When I preview the package - icon_21 is missing or messed up. Problem solved temporarily by toggling Vista's default icon. I guess I could edit iptheme file, or mess with a substitute good icon. It's been awhile since I explored the many options inside IP. - BbB55 {Vic S.}

Missing Folder Icons - Black Boxes Instead in IconPackager Stardock Forums

Today I installed IP v3.2 on my Vista computer. The included icon packs worked well. I then installed "XPlastic07 - FreeEdition", a featured package. I am getting quit a few "black boxes" instead of folder icons in File Explorer. Searching for clues. BbB55 Intel Core 2 Duo MSI 8800 GSL video card EVGA motherboard IconPackager v3.20

Since I don't run SDC (Stardock Central Services), I found the answer in a batch file that was posted somewhere. I manually opened (regedit) my registry and went to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\ObjectDesktop and added a New "string value" by right-clicking with a name of SDCzip. Then I added a path ... C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock\SDCzip.dll to this key. I get my download links via e-mail, and install the stand-alone programs of St

Outlook Express gives you the option to save attachment. That's what I did with the latest batch of virii/worms that got sent to me (not by Russ). I was curious to know what they were. I did change the saved file extension from ZIP, SCR or EXE to something that wouldn't automatically run if I accidently launched it. Highlighting the file to rename it still created a rather high pucker-factor. I than scanned the file with my AV program. Most were something like {Moodown} worm.
