anyone? does dreamscapes stop when a game is ran is it still using resources in the background?

im on a desktop pc so no battery powersaving mode

I know the CPU usage is very low on Dreamscape/Dreamscene as it is being run with the GPU but as a gamer id like to know if Dreamscape/Dreamscene pauses or unloads when a game is ran? or is it still running in the background as i do not want any resources taken up for gaming. thanks for info in advance!
