Yes, children are picking up computer skills as early as kindergarten nowadays. If they don't they might run the risk of being a little behind, it seems as things are moving so quickly forward. So different from one's generation.

I've been out of pc gaming for a while. I've heard that some new games will only work on Vista. But as it is, a lot of new games released since last year or two ago will not even work on a Win98 system. I think what the tech is saying is that your 3 year old machine may have problems running the latest releases of games. Computers running Vista are usually Dual-core. And for gamers, the more ram the better, thus the recommendation for 3 GIG. I think you need at least 1-2GIG fo

Gosh imagining it to be really good. I love hot foods and I know what you are talking about. In SE Asia, most of us like our foods hot and spicy. We use a different variety of the pepper family from what you use in the West and they can be just as lethal. They do make everything all the more appetizing! Bon appetit!

Nothing much you can do about other people. You just have to be the best person you can be. Most people, who are genuine and have been hurt, are cautious, so they might keep a low profile or not very open at once. It takes a while for people's true nature to come out. I suspect that those untrustworthy types are also those who have absolutely no faith in others. It's why they don't feel anything when they lie and trick, and backstab. They think that everyone else is like that: so it's

I agree with all the above posts about the flaws but I still love this game to death. Played it on the 360 (which recently died) and now on the PS3. Quest-wise, the game is just too damn easy. The Morrowind way of quests was far more challenging and interesting. Oblivion's environment is also rather generic. Morrowind's environment is still far more beautiful and unique; I so remember having my breath taken away by the harsh and wild places I find. And every place found in Morrowind is truly a d

I don't like to use that silly phrase that much on forums anymore. It always leaves something that tastes like defeat every time I use it. It sounds like something angry to some people. It also leaves you open to a bait, especially if you really care even if you say you don't really care. You lose either way. Example: A: I couldn't care less. B: I couldn't care less whether or not you can't care less. A: I couldn't care less but you are wrong because.... B: If you d

I find that it is often what I eat and how much that makes me put on. If I watch myself and not go mad over food as often, I can actually drop 2-3 kg without extra exercise and maintain at a some sort ideal weight -- of course it takes a couple of weeks. And there's the problem, there's always so many nice things to eat around here. Anyway, being a little inspired by your post, this videogame couchpotato will perhaps borrow the dumbbells belonging to a collegue at work tomorrow,

I grew up in the 80s. 80s was a fun time in terms of entertainment. There were action movies that were all about action and which didn't care if they made sense. Rambo can take an army. Chuck Norris can kick a man through the wall. And you didn't need to understand all that CSI science for a good detective show. There were love songs that was just about love and not about making statements. Those were the days.

As it seems right now, I currently feel like I'm failing at life. I am a loser half the time because I get caught up with fairness issues. And I do have a habit of blaming others and circumstances sometimes. So it's no 5 and no 7 for me.

hmph I so know what you are talking about, FS. Some people are just assholes because they think they are superior and have the right to be an ass to nicer people around them. They keep doing it because they can get away with it; because they are the boss, or that they have higher degrees, or life is just so grrrrreat for them. Lady Karma will come along with her mod-stick soon enough, but by god, why is she always hitting me instead of them? :D

Some games such as RTS, 4X strategy games and large world rpgs will always be better played on computers. Thanks to Stardock for not going the way that a lot of game makers are doing, trying to squeeze their pc games into a console system because they think that's where all the money is at and creating disasters and grand disappointments. Although... I think that if SD ever dedicates time into making a game for console, it will probably a hit as well seeing how SD always deliv

Facebook isn't dangerous as long as people are careful. Same goes for any forum or even here at Joeuser (where there has been a recent unhappy incident). No social website puts a gun to the user's head and forces them to divulge their personal information. From my experiences in web communities, all the internet is dangerous if one is not careful. Every piece of info given out, every time you choose to trust someone or believe them, is a risk taken. Children shouldn't be allowe

I've played this game. Most of the time, it's a lot of shooting and fighting alien hordes. The mentioned "lesbian sex scene" with an alien doesn't happen unless the player pursues that line of play and even so, there's nothing to see other than bare backs, shadowy movements and character facial hints. I did play romance with the main character (male) with one of his female crew members. When they did it, all you saw was the lady's bare behind and nothing else. In less than half minute,

Being on a media censorship board. There is such a group of people in government ministry where I live. Why the f should anyone be paid to parent people who don't need or want parenting? These faceless cravens probably wouldn't even want their neighbors to know what they do for a living.

Did things change so fast within a generation in the past, or is it just with us? I can see the concern about stranger-danger: the sasame street world is a trusting place with no bad people at all. But what are you going to do, teach children that the world is all about people out to get them? Isn't the latter worse? I always thought Sasame street was at most showing what the world could be rather than what it is. I alw
