Oh Trina, you should just leave them up, let me know about them and I'll come take the piss out of them. It's much more fun.

Yeah sorry kingbee, feel free to repost your original response to this. It was all part of a desperate grab for ratings I'm afraid. But it paid off: I have entered the Top 50! I'd like to thank my Mom: who taught me to love other people, my Dad: who read me Lewis Carroll as a child, my little goldfish: who taught me to stick up for animal rights, my preschool teachers: who taught me how to share like a true Communist, my charcoaled dinners:
Normally we fight wars against another country, an evil dictatorship that is going about killing Jews and the like. As Toblerone once pointed out to me, the War on Terror is the first war ever waged against an abstract noun. The Bush administration has fostered a lot of fear about terrorism in the wake of the horrific WTC attacks. But does this fear justify Dubya’s wa
Oh please don't turn this into another censorship debate Daiwa. If you want to criticise Howard, that is your right as a democratic citizen. If you want to criticise Howard, it is your duty as a human being who is concerned about the policies that lead to disadvantage for your fellow human beings. If you want to criticise Saddam, it was your President's duty as a human being concerned for the lives of fellow human beings. It was not your President's du
I somehow doubt that Moore would fade into obscurity. He has expressed a lot of dissatisfaction with the Democrats. I think we would see Moore turn to arguing in favour of a turn away from the two horse race. I do not however at al agree that Kerry will win. Australia's polls said the Libs and Labor were 50/50 and that turned out to be so far from the mark it's depressing. Bush will romp home as all conservative Governments who go to war do.
I love the slogans Grim. I saw someone run a picture of a beer bottle with a picture of Kerry, the beer's name: Bush Lite. But really I think the family relation is unimportant, many people disagree with their relatives. I think John Howard would be better with: Making Sure the American Dream becomes the Australian Dream. As for Badnarik, how about: Making sure the American Dream becomes a Hallucination.

I'm what you would describe as a Bush hater and I would say this is the most insightful anti-Kerry/pro-Bush set of arguments I've seen, although some arguments from the Libertarians are quite good. This article is a rarity. Rather than shouting down the Left or insulting the, like most of your sympathisers, you have come up with some reasoned arguments and evidence. I still did not find it convincing enough to outweigh the points in favour of Kerry, b
I have more faith in Kerry than you do, but I think your points about gay marriage and abortion are incredibly strong points and perhaps even stronger than the War on Terror debate. The West is supposedly about freedom. Let's keep it that way.
Very humorous
To the tune of Bananas In Pyjamas: Osama bin Laden, we can't find him nowhere Osama bin Laden, oh where oh where's his lair? Osama bin Laden, escapin' Bush and Blair Osama and Saddam, they make such a great pair But we'll cut their beards off if we catch them unawares!
> their trend toward crying censorship at a negative response. And what of the Right's trend to simply cry "terrorist sympathiser" or start up an argument about whether or not people have the right to criticise politicians? As I said, I'm rather tiring of this ridiculous censorship debate. I have made a lot of criticisms of Bush and explained why I think he should be replaced. How about somebody telling me why they think Bush is
The operative word in that quote you use FH is "partially". I do not agree with making the world Islamic or denying people their religious freedoms. That would be strange given my religious beliefs. Osama does hate that the West has religious freedom and for that I strongly deplore JI and Al Qaeda. But it is a myth perpetuated by Bush in particular that this is the only reason they hate the West. Right at the beginning of the whole WTC attack issue, I
In response to that question about what Pax said, this is what he said: Salam Pax: No. Umcthat was very unfortunate. Bad timing. It shouldn't have happened. Part of the war the West is fighting is a moral war, showing what's wrong to the ignorant people in the Middle East. That was not good for your moral. It'scyou're losing that battle. This shouldn't have happened. But still it doesn't mean that everybody should go, "OK, 'bye," because it
I have never said there was anything self-evident about my opinions as far as I can recall, and I certainly didn't intend that if I did. I don't think Bush shows lack of understanding because he disagrees with me. I have outlined why I think he shows a lack of understanding. I was referring to his lack of cultural understanding. In fact, some of Bush's comments about other nations I have agreed with. Some of his comments about ethical issues I have som
Well boy thanks for informing me about my own country drmiler. I was unaware that we have had a debate about whether Australia needs a Bill of Rights or not to officially enshrine free speech. It is generally acknowledged that other laws in Australia give us a fairly good chance of keeping some level of free speech (not even the US has full free speech) and all Governments who have opposed a Bill of Rights have simply said that it is unnece
Drmiler, you really have a problem with the idea of anyone having the right to an opinion don't you! Black people were once considered incapable of managing their own affairs too. I'd call that an error of judgment. The mentally ill have long faced marginalisation, and while this is improving, we have a long way to go. This highlights the way the Republican party believes in democracy...for some. But let me guess drmiler, I don't have the right to expr
I've been accused all sorts of things by the Right in the past few days. Many of these acussations have been amusing. One of the accusations (less amusing, simply interesting) has been that I simply believe what I am told about Bush's stupidity, not endeavouring to think for myself. Naturally I refute this. I mean, I haven't been in Bush's mind testing his neurologica
Humorously you come across as far more reasoned, reasonable and understanding of politics than many of the political zealots (like myself) on joeuser. An excellent article that explains why the Centre and the Right should be dissatisfied with their choice of leader.
Pictoratus, if we want to get as nit picky as you have, you might note that BlueDev's accusation was not actually an accusation of censorship, but an accusation of attempts at censorship. I have noticed many of the Right forgetting these sorts of little details when attempting to characterise the "Left". Just as the Australian Government rabbited on about Latham trying to get the troops home by Christmas ON THE CONDITION THE JOB WAS DONE. Arguing
Pictoratus, he says I shouldn't have the RIGHT to say this. That's pretty darn close to censorship. He may not have the account access to do it, but he is arguing that I should not have the right to say these things. If I leave comments like that to go through to the keeper pretty soon you end up with a Government that encroaches upon freedom of speech. >the left has overwhelmingly used that tactic in the US especially during this election<
I didn't say they twisted our arm, although comments like "you're either with us or against us" are hardly moderate attempts at persuasion. I think this is however irrelevant. As I said, America does not affect only America. My country is part of the Coalition of the Killing and I am critical of all members of the Coalition. Sorry, but it affects me. As a member of the human race I am critical of anyone who I perceive as committing offences against the
drmiler, when I used to visit your site, you wrote articles. I revisit at your insistence to find you simply reprint other people's work.
>>You know I really don't like someone who isn't even from this country making fun of the President of the USA in that fashion You know I really don't like someone who preaches free speech out one face and says stuff like this out their other face. Is the problem you have simply that I used humour to criticise Bush instead of straight criticism? Again, I ask you what did you expect from this blog? My summary of this blog mentions
Did you have to mention this? Now I can't eat red smarties. I'll have to stick to the green ones. But what if they're green on the outside but very very red on the inside?
