I'm using the free beta as well. I'm sorry if I mislead you. It's not really up and running. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do with it myself and, as you know, it is very limited as to what it allows. I'm thinking I may just use it as a portal to another site that will allow me to upload my pages like Sitesled. (Sitesled is free with no ads if you're interested). Sitesled doesn't feature free domains however

This program is awesome. It freed up 3% of my 80 gig and I use Easy Cleaner and disk clean-up all the time. I don't know why I waited so long to try it. Maybe the name. Doesn't sound "professional" to me, but this program is all of that and more! If you don't have it, get it. Really! Great Thread!

I would just like, for once, to see people just respond to a MS product based on what you think about it not because of prior experiences because no one has tested this program yet cause it's not out yet, it is only in BETA, yet it is being condemned already simply because of it being from MS. Hmm

Thanks Sir Bichur. I have the shareware at the moment so I'll likely wait to work this out as the shareware is completely fluid for me right now. (meaning it won't save settings). I'm glad I asked though. Funny, it should be another "Corey" that had problems. Hope that's not a sign!

If there are arseholes out there attacking Microsoft's consumers/customers via attacking the product with virii, spyware, etc then MS has EVERY RIGHT to provide their clientelle with adequate protection via the inclusion of firewalls, AV proggies, etc. If that puts third-party retailers' noses out of joint well tough luck. I've been using Office Live for a while now. The UI is really, REALLY buggy. Not many options to choose from either. The text editor they provide is about as bad as you can get now days. The background filler works about 10% of the time. Free domain is nice. You cannot upload web pages. Images and doc's you can. The "free" e-mail is o.k., but unless you pay extra money, you can't import it into Outlook or run a e-m

Does anyone know of a good help file, or thread that tells me why I cannot run Desktop X and Icon X together. (currently running the shareware versions if that makes a difference) I tryed out both icon editors suggested above. I can't tell the difference between the results. Icon workshop did seem to have a little nicer interface IMO t

Thank You! That AveIcon worked MUCH better. I had been using Xnview, and one other (which I forget the name). I don't really care for IconX much, but I didn't know that you could use PNG's in place of .ico's so I may have to try that again and compare the results. Either way, it's much improved now, and I found a heck-uva freeware image convertor to boot! Thanks For All Of Your Responses!

Hi all, I've tried a couple of different programs to change png's (object dock icons) into .ico's. They work, but the outcome is rendered poorly. The thing is, If I take that same output and put it in my dock, it looks perfect. Is there some way I can make these converted icons look better on my desktop? Thanks in advance, Corey <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Hmm.gif" border=0 A

Well.........this is just plain wrong. You don't buy a couch, or a car etc. and expect to have the right to re-sell it in ANY FORM! They are copyrighted! Designs, advertising etc...! As such, they can ONLY BE licensed to the ORIGINAL purchaser! This will go NOWHERE! What's next? Who among us doesn't see the need to eradicate copyright leeches like e-bay? Time will prove me right! You'll see!

Well, while it sounds good with that article, there is one thing that no one seems to notice. Microsoft is trying to take over as much as they can, all over again. It's not just Vista. It's all of the other Beta programs. It's doing things that others have already done..............and integrating them into a OS that can eliminate functionality for any competitive software. At least for a while, hopefully (in their minds), forever. <br/
