From what I've seen Stardock has been incredibly lazy doing anything with 64-bit. I found this thread because I was having the same issue, but it looks by reading through the responses that the problem isn't going to be fixed. What I'd really like to know is why, if people can use Desktop X to make Windows gadgets, does it not save them in the effing Windows gadget format instead of forcing reliance on Desktop X? Grr.

Some 32-bit software works? I have yet to encounter ANY (non-customization) software that doesn't work just as well as on a 32-bit system (and yes, I know of some software that doesn't work on a 64-bit system, but none of it is software that I use, and I use my computer for about absolutely everything, so if I don't use it I really don't care if it's incompatible and deem it irrelevant, whereas to others such software may be their holy grail and they may create massive forum threads bashing x64

Okay enough with the kidding around, I must admit it was fun. How about giving Stardock time to atleast do some of thier own testing before releasing a beta version to subsribers. What do lyou think? I think x64 support was expected to come with 5.5 final, and XP x64 support is already included, so perhaps they should have finished their product before releasing it. I also think that it's been in "testing" for quite some time now. I wouldn't be at

Windowblinds is like Stardock's flagship product, but we still don't even have a beta with x64 support?! Instead we get Tweakvista (which completely hosed my OS and forced me to reinstall Vista from scratch) and new builds of LogonVista (which offers no improvements over the betas, which worked absolutely perfectly anyway). Then there are previews for a new Stardock Central, even though the current one works perfectly fine. I'm sure OD 2008 is going to be great, but it would be nice if 2007 w

This is getting to be a pain. Updates come fairly frequently, and still not even beta x64 support. It doesn't seem to be a priority for Stardock. I think it should be.

I had this problem, too, and I was going nuts. I figured out how to install it, though. Uncheck the option to install beta/prerelease crap and install 1.3 (Thx Koasati). Then recheck it and upgrade it to the beta. It will only grab the files it needs, and not download odp.sdc.

This just gets worse and worse for x64. The first beta to support it worked, but only if you manually executed the right exes in the right order and ignored error messages. B2 installed fine and had no errors, but never skinned anything (leaving you with a windows classic appearance). Now this one installs fine and skins everything, but its unbelievably slow, doesn't display skins correctly, and after changing a skin 2 or 3 times (which takes about

I've been waiting for x64 support, and now we have it... or do we? As soon as I installed this it said to reboot, which is pretty typical, so I did. I didn't get windowblinds, but I was blessed with an extraordinarily long bootup time and an error message telling me that I have to reboot my computer before I can run windowblinds when I logged on. It doesn't matter how many times I reboot, or if I uninstall it and reinstall it and reboot again, no WB5 joy for me <img src="http://images.stard

BeOS was the first and last time I had hope that a commercial OS for x86 PCs would be capable of finally overthrowing Windows. It was beautiful at the time, though now it looks dated. I will probably buy Zeta, eventually, for nostalgia, but what I'm truly keeping an eye on for the future is Haiku.

Yep, that would be the problem. Guess I have to wait till either a cursor xp update or an nforce driver update and try again. Kind of sucks, I've become quite attached to my cursors

This is my only real complaint with SP2. On a sidenote, my roommate and girlfriend don't have this problem. It may be my chipset or something. I'm running an nForce 3 250gb and they're running older 32-bit boards.

I cannot use CursorXP 1.3 with Windows XP SP2. Whenever I do and I mouse over a system window (e.g. task manager, system properties, mouse properties, desktop properties, pretty much any control panel setting, etc.) that window will disappear. In some instances it will cause explorer to crash and reload continuously. The only fix I've found is to end the cursorxp.exe process and uninstall cursorxp. Then I still have mouse control, but no mouse cursor, so I can't tell where the mouse is. The
