Removing Phase jumping through grav wells sounds Ok, means you have some forced time to initate combat. Maybe a friendly 'Phased Assist' Planitary Module for friendly vessles in a hurry to get through?
One gripe, need to be able to type in the galaxy size boxes, clicking form 25 to 100 is a lot of clicks.
TBH The current system is fine tbh, changing it would make one thing better at the cost of ruining something else. If you want to blockade a system, the build an inhibiter (I think a Inhibitor Cap ship should be available for suns and when you are fleet chasing). Currently your waiting for antimatter to recharge for the next jump, and that means even medium distance trips take a while as it is, making that emergency run with your feel back home cos your under attack take even longer would be b
Well there are dots signifying ships on planets in the empire screen, why not how ever many dots per reserch possability next to each one, that changes colour during and after research? But I actualy ment the tree itself needs a little polish, e.g. the first tier on the combat tree has the 1 point frig unlock, but no other 1 point skills on that tier. Means half jobbing something else to unlock the next tier.
Hmmm 2 trade posts, one for credits and one for minreals, lots and lots of little ships.......well before the huge hull upgrades I'd prefer just one structure, and maybe build the trade ships manualy or have a minreals module on the 'level-up' skill of the station? BUT I like the distinction of the routes for the different trade stations, but on the top of screen summeries please put an average in
Info card is fine, if anything I'd like more detail on it. Yes I'm talking about the news box top moddle of the screen.
So you can't see me scouting you (without the sensor research). Daft idea if allowed to stay stealthed/cloaked when firing.
E.G. Active/passive abilitys not differing text on upgrade or upgraded mouseover.
When zooming and selecting, just got a little peved with it. Click/zoom through or mabe a nice option to resize or remove it?
Selecting ships, coming out and selecting all then with all the planets minimised in the empire list you can see where ships are and focus on them from there. Hot key groups, hmmm maybe 1 to 0 with shift for set and Ctrl to add possably being able to set shipyards to fleet #.
I'm not gonna let any of my buzzing runabouts get into a grav well, yea ok if I'm deploying sensors it can happen but late game it could be handy. Also it might be nice to be able to blockade a star.
OK played again pushing culture, but still, 8 planets (8 more roids) struggles to 'support' 5 cap ships plus ~5 Frigates is the %age an enforced one or a resultant one? On another angle trade ships do bring in a fair old amout, but it's not reflected by the Maint %age. Clarification in the ui might be nice. Still tring to find the sweet spot for number of trade ststions.
Lots of issues chasing fleets, yea it's fine bottlenecking my areas, but when the other player is chicken running from planet to planet, maybe a deployable frig or cap ship. Make it a module or upgrade (level 6?) maybe not cheap but definatly usefull for trapping those pesky runabouts.
Culture gives income? Need to have a look at culture
Noticed that there are some research levels that you have to pick up sometimes 4 extra research 2 equal and 2 lower to unlock the next level of tech. The one off (unlock) techs need to be balanced so that you can take one and not have to follow an extra tree to get to the next tech.
Most game have some micronisation for ship/structure maintance cost. 3/4 games I've played I've ended up at 75% income crippled, down to income of 11 credits 18 Metal 16 crystal. Maybe a tech for reducing maint? And Yes I did have lots of trade stations and if anything it made it worse. Maybe factor in the trade ships to the income?
