I think it's hilarious that you have yet to say anything about that Decor8 program that flopped too. What do the people that purchased that flopper get in return for purchasing a program that flopped as well? Does Stardock even take that into consideration or do you guys just want us to keep buying your software without any incentive for the floppers you've released? Decor8 could've been an awesome program but it just wouldn't work. I loved having the to

Oh my God! They were on the left side of the window?!? That's insane!!! I think if I were to use those themes, I might lose those buttons. How did you manage that?! Jesus! LMAO

Haha! It's called learning the new OS and adapting. In a sense, people who want the OS to stay exactly the same I'd say aren't that intelligent. We're in 2015 and the OS still has basically the same format it had from many years ago because people like you can't adapt. Even though Microsoft wants to pull us in another direction (the future), they can't because people always want the same thing and if something gets placed in a new spot, they lack the capability to reme

Maybe I'm just so used to purchasing programs and getting update after update and never really having problems having to re-purchase the same program repeatedly. With that said, it's pretty obvious rikster3 didn't purchase Decor8 cuz I'm pretty sure his response would've been a little different after spending money on a program that never really worked. I do respect Stardock for their software and their creativity but I would like them to be a little more loyal to returnin

Because if I remember right, going from Windowblinds 6/7 to 7/8 was a free upgrade for me. If that wasn't it, then I know it was one of the pieces of software (POS, haha!) I bought from this company when it was a free upgrade. Aside from that, I bought Decor8 and only got to use it for like 2-3 months because from that point on, it wouldn't operate correctly. I even at one point got some kind of purge file from the support team that reset Decor8, but shortly after resetting

Just look at Start8 / Start10, they're doing it with that which I think is BS! I have a ton of software purchased from Stardock over the years (including Start8) and I thought for sure I would get a free upgrade to Start10 but that's not the case.

With all these touch screen PC's now, and the lack of fun software for them, how about a CursorFX like program for your finger? I have CursorFX installed on my PC, and I love it, but it disappears when you touch your PC with your finger. So how about maybe you guys could create a program that interacts with your finger touching the screen with cool trail affects like the one's in CursorFX or even in the game Fruit Ninja, with all their little blades that follow behind your f

Ok, so how do I remove that explorer background that's set? I've tinkered with ever setting in WindowBlinds, especially the system colors settings and can't figure it out.

Can someone please tell me how to change the color of this or make it the default white color that it should be? Every skin I apply, there's this hideous grey coldq that makes all the skins look absolutely ridiculous! Thanks...

Ok, so after a few more days going by, I have uncovered a few more things. First off, I can start any dream file, including the ones that crash my system by browsing to the folder they are located in, right-clicking, and setting as desktop background, and they run really good. Now, when I walk away from my PC, come back, and my screensaver is on, I bring my desktop back up, and I get a explorer.exe error saying: <span style="

I would do that, but trying to find out what codecs were installed with Windows 7, and which ones were not seems sort of difficult. Especially when I installed Shark007 thinking I needed a certain codec. I installed that, and there were like 150 codecs, and after unistalling it, I still have almost 100. Hard telling what programs I installed that came with codecs, lol. I do not know, but I do think I am on the right track. I will see what I can do, and thanks for the info.

Can someone look at this image I took of the codecs installed on my system and let me know if I need to disable any, or possibly add some? http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/3/1138862/My%20Codecs.jpg I was messing around, and disabled a few of the MPEG codecs. While doing so, I applied a dream file that has been crashing my PC recently in Deskscapes and my computer crashed. I rebooted, and the dream t

No, I dont have a TV tuner. It is just a ATI Radeon X1300 256 mb (PCI Slot). The oddest thing about this whole situation is that all these dream files that are crashing my PC, they all used to play just fine on Deskscapes 2. Is it possible that I could be missing a certain codec(s) or something? I did just do a fresh install of Windows 7.

30 Replies 32,309 Views

If your asking if I click on one of the dream files in Deskscapes under videos, and am able to preview it in Deskscapes, then the answer is yes. As far as playing a mpeg video in WMP, I have not had the chance to do so yet. Let me see if I can find one, and I will get back to you on that.

30 Replies 32,309 Views

No, I am saying it happens when I apply any file that is in the "videos" section on Deskscapes. Every other file under "Dreams" or "Hybrids" are fine.

I have the final version of Windows 7 Home Premium. As far as knowing if it has native MPEG2 support, I have no idea.

So after a little research, and actually catching what the BSOD was saying, I have a few updates. First off, the error on the BSOD I am getting is a video scheduler error. Secondly, after playing around with the Deskscapes 3 program a little more. I have found out that the actual .dream files will run on my system, pretty nicely, might I add. My PC crashes when I select on a video file and try to apply it basically. Which I am sort of confused about because I have a .dream file called "H

The problem I have is that I just paid to upgrade to Deskscapes 3, and to not be able to use the software I purchased is a little frustrating. I realize everything you guys are saying, but know this. I have had this Radeon X1300 card for like 3 years or so. It ran beautifully with Vista. I had beta of Windows 7 for like the last 5 or 6 months, and it ran beautifully with that. Now I have the final version of Windows 7, and I only have 2 problems here. Full screen video is a little choppy, and

Is anyone else experincing this same issue, or can throw a little input my way about my problem, feel free to contribute. Obviously, Stardock is not gonna help me figure this out.

30 Replies 32,309 Views

I downloaded the revision 9.8 and my driver is 8.593.100.0. As for using ATI tray tools, I do have the CCC installed now, but before I installed that today, I was still experiencing the same issue.

I have updated to the most current driver for my video card, and the same damn thing is still happening!
