I'd rather laugh than cry...and since I've psychologically broken myself to where I can't cry...it's laughter or stoicism for me. I have a sick, twisted sense of humor sometimes...things best left unsaid, but at least it gets me through the rough patches. ~Zoo
Zoo many white folk voted for Obama including my wife Colleen, much to my shame... eh eh eh... I was "forced to spank her that night.
Nothin' like angry political lovin'. :P ~Zoo
Is everyone who didn't like Obama so pessimistic? I feel like y'all need a hug or something. Anyone catch the new South Park last night? Did a great job at showing people's reactions to the election. :D ~Zoo
Change is great when everyone else has to carry it huh?
I'll bear the burdens that come my way. I don't run from responsibility.
You lose nothing because you risked nothing.
I have to start a life in your seemingly dark and gloomy future. How's that for fun? I have nothing, true...but from nothing I have to gain something...if things get very bad then I walk out of college and on to the street. Lovel
It's take more than 4 years to build it...probably a decade or more. You could just go hang out in Canada or Mexico for awhile...much easier. :P ~Zoo
But all 3 of'em are mine. :)
In addition, I have spent my day listening to the conciliatory tone from most conservative talk show radio host. Mr. Glen Beck even went as far as to say “… Barak is my president.” I will never make such a statement.
Aren't you an illegal?
We should not be legalizing anything based on emotion.
We also shouldn't be banning things based on religion. ~Zoo
A little doom and gloom, eh? I don't feel afraid in the least...fear is a distraction that's not going to help us. We need diplomacy, discussion, and thought to fix our country and that's the mindset I'm going to keep. Overall I find it very tiresome to waste energy speculating and fearing the future. Deal with it as it comes and you'll sleep better at night. ~Zoo
Don't be racist, vote for the white guy! :P Actually I prefer Obama's politics over McCain's...but what remains to be seen is if he'll actually carry through with all those promises. I just think we have a better shot with Obama in the oval office than with McCain. It's not about race to me, but I do acknowledge it's a big deal in American history. Breaking color barriers is a big deal...but it wasn't a deciding factor for me. ~Zoo
"Did Obama buy the election?" What the fuck is up with these ads? Election's over people...give it a rest! ~Zoo
A major step moving past those petty thoughts would have been if either candidate had won and their skin colour wouldn't have mattered to the voters or the media.
That's next in line. Thing is we've finally broken the color barrier for the office and yes...people are mentioning it because for the last couple centuries that's never happened here. People are still caught up on race and probably will be for awhile...but there is a lot of significan
I don't think being black is anything special and don't care which skin colour someone has.
Unfortunately not everyone has that attitude. America's been pretty caught up on race. This is a major step in moving past those petty thoughts.
So now does that mean people can stop complaining that "the man" is holding them back?
It's a start. ~Zoo
No matter your political beliefs, you've just witnessed something incredible. For the first time since the country's birth a person that isn't some white guy is president...or will be in a couple months. It's kind of weird living a historical event. We did that with September 11, but this time it isn't steeped in tragedy. (Unless you're being a melodramatic Republican) Other than that, not much to say...it's midnight, I'm tired.
If you saw two black panthers, one with a billy club, standing in front of where you vote....allegedly saying "white power don't rule here" what would you do?
My first thought was how does a cat hold a billy club and why is one talking? Then I glanced at your video. :P
How can they call the entire state of Penn, with just 1200 votes in? Less than 1% of the precincts? If you cook your meat properly then it doesn't really matter. :P Although if you're a fan of rare steaks that have come into contact with the intestines of the animal then you're in for some E. coli O157:H7 related fun. ~Zoo
Ah, Ohio...people only know we exist during election years. :( ~Zoo
That man is insane.
