Favor Points - LAN and Multiplayer in Demigod Demigod Forums

I am seriously considering buying this game, but have one question that I can't seem to find the answer for. My friends and I are looking for a good game to play at LAN parties. I found that the game uses a sort of "universal" Favor Points system. Do the Favor Points acquired in LAN games carry over to Multiplayer games and vice versa? Thanks!
