The matchmaking system is to blame. In custom games you can join games that specifically mention for newbies. It is also advisible for newbies to play newbie oriented custom games, even host one yourself. However, I don't think Patheon matches players base on favor rating, although I may be wrong.
No it doesn't. I have not been able to sucessfully connect to a multiplayer game with real people in over a week. Then return the game. Demigod, btw, is $39.95, not $50 unless you ordered the collector's edition.
It's $50 in the UK... I actually find Demigod a bit expensive here But then the British gets ripped off at everything from petrol, food to electronics.<

I think he meant a shorter way of casting heal/shield to the player demigod. Sedna's heal and QoT's shield requires clicking on your own demigod after activating the ability with the skill hotkey if you want to cast it on yourself.

The problem currently is, as I have mentioned in my other thread, the game dynamic is very unstable. The reason is that, there is a runaway spiral caused by the slightly winning team getting more and more money for better equipment, citadel upgrades and then come back to kill more of the other team and in turn get even more money. Even assuming both team play equally good, a slight shift in balance can easily make the dynamic fall into a negative spiral. The same goes with exp

Well in a modern society morals are all messed up. You can see plenty of 12-15/Teen rated movies with plenty of sexuality and nudity in movies without anyone complaining. You can't have any nudity or sexual content in a game rated for Teen or every parent complains. Polls show that majority of people are ok with gore and murder but not with sex. Maybe human nature is rooted in destruction rather than creation.

Well I think favour points should be used as a guide to matching players in Patheon. As new players should be matched against new players, this way they don't get owned because of their lack of favor items.

think currently the game mechanics is a bit unstable in the regards that the winning team continue to win and the losing team continue to lose in runaway negative spiral fashion. This is due to the fact that, when there are skill difference between DGs of opposing team, even slightly higher skill players will be able to level up, and then reap huge gold rewards by repeatingly kill lower level DGs very easily (due to better equipment and higher level). The monetary amount and experience gained

NAT is natwork address translation. It is a system of allowing a a network to talk to another network which bares different network classes and/or ports. Since ports are unique to an application, it is sometimes necesary to translate not only the source and destination addresses, but also the ports. Usually people just keep the ports the same, and tells their router to forward traffic pointing to that port to a specific ip address on the local network. All these fall under the umbrella of NAT

I have encountered the following after joining a lobby in a custom game just after sending a long block of chat text. I have only encountered this the first time in my 4th online game.
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at address 0x773fdbba attempted to write memory at 0x00000014 Program : D:\Program Files\Demigod\bin\Demigod.exe Cmd line arguments : Callstack: RtlDeleteAtomFromAtomTa

I have the exact same problem. I was playing online yesterday fine and now it asks me to update the game. The game was downloaded after Thursday. To the op, I always would go through forums before bothering with supports. That doesn't warrant a good enough reason to acuse anyone of any wrong doings. EDIT: It's working now all in a sudden.

I think the problem lies in the fact that there's no option to allow user to opt-out of the beta enrollment, and it wasn't made clear that no refund was available. If there are clear prior notice then the user could have pre-ordered Demigod from other sites and get full-refund any time you want.

Looking Minimap is much faster than zooming out, and in situations you are occupied and just can't zoom out. That's if, the minimap is not cluttered, and only show vital info (teammate location, flag status, and well the map) Don't put individual creep in there, even if they are just 1 pixel dots.
