Sweet geez~~~help!my OD'S recycle bin encountered problem

No right click menu.

As it's known to every OD user,I delete the recycle on my windows'desktop(by run "gpedit.msc"--configure my desktop settin'),and use OD's recycle to replace it,it was good till yesterday,suddently I found the recycle encountered problem----no right click menu show up when I right click on it,yep,I mean no "Open recycle" and "Empty recycle" stat,only 2 stat that r "Remove entry" and "Dock entry properties",that way I cant even c what's in the recycle and o'cuz empty it~~that made the OD's recycle totally useless only except its icon's still beautiful there on dock~~~but no one'd accept a useless adornment to take up PC's resources ain't it?Plz,give me some backup,lol~~~I'm usin' OD plus v1.1 currently.

Did you try to remove the Recycle icon and then re-add it?

Drag the old, broken one off

Right click on empty OD space | Add entry | New Recycle Bin

It'd be really handy if only one thread were posted, not 4.

That way all the responses will be in one place......

Makes sense to me....

And....to make life easier for those responding...could you please take a little more time to make more 'traditional' use of the language.....saves guessing/translating....

Does anyone have a solution for this? I have the same problem, the right click menu on my OD recycle bin has vanished, for no obvious reason. Deleting the OD recycle bin and replacing it with a new one - as suggested above - does not work either, the new bin has the same lack of right click menu as the old one. Any suggestions much appreciated.

Here is a solution that worked for me; Although I removed the windows recycle bin from my desktop some time ago the recent OD problem must have been caused by something cleaning up in the registry. Restoring recycle bin functions via the registry restores the right click function to my OD recycle bin. Bang, just like that.

Here is the registry key I used;

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}]
@="Recycle Bin"

Save the above text to a text file, change the file extension to .reg, double click and it should tell you it has been added to your registry. Of course, if you are unfamiliar with changing the registry, back it up first!

why delete the recycle to begin with? why not just unshow all desktop icons?
