n00b shareware question

Hi all. I have downloaded and installed the shareware version of WindowBlinds. It seems really interesting and I've been reading the forums quite a bit. I cannot seem to get it to apply any skin other than Retro which came with the shareware. I have tried downloading several different skins, none of which work. I'd like to buy and use this program, but if I can't get it to work, I'd rather not waste the money.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be most appreciative.

Cheers.

Rebuild list did not work

I've tried Ferix and 5imple Alpha

The skins seem to be loaded correctly, it's just that when I click "Apply this skin now", nothing happens.

I'm pretty sure that I am - they are listed in the WB config, and i can click on them and see the preview, i just can't get them to apply.

Thanks for your prompt responses...

Try rebuilding list...then, click install...you may have downloaded it to right file, but, sometimes you have to click install...go to your downloads page and click on the ones you downloaded then highlight them, right click install...

I take it, your using the onboard graphics card. So, that shouldn't be a problem.

Have you tried to install it before applying the theme? Also, rebuilding your list?

No third party firewall...

I noticed in my device manager that I have two instances of the same graphics controller under display adapters and I have two instances of the same monitor under monitors...

Could that be causing a problem?
