If i pre-order "electronic". Will i get the game before it gets to the retail stores or will it be released at the same time? EDIT: Another Q. I've played Gal Civ but i would like to ask how many races there are in Gal Civ 2, couldn't find it in the manual, thanks in advance.

Answer to your first question: Probably not, there is talk of doing it a little sooner to prevent a huge load on the stardock server or something.

Answer to your second question: There are 10 races as far as I know. But you can always build your own

theres going to be a huge load on stardock's servers no matter what they do, becasue remeber, those who payed extra for the boxed version and dont want to wait for there stuff to be shipped can download it electronically so pretty much everyone who preordered will be trying to download the game

As long as it's not peer servers, like Blizzard's awful patch system.... it should be fine!

Living in Thailand is highly problematic for d/ling anything from the rest of the world... so slow even though I have an adsl connection!

Not neccissarily--I've not bought anything as a physical copy from stardock direct, but I would expect that if you buy a disc you won't get your cd key until you get said disc, with the key printed on the box. And without a valid final-version key, no download (assumably the final uses a different key from the beta, since accounts are supposedly not charged until release). I may be wrong, but AFAIK that's how it would work.
