Power DVD shows no picture

Must unload to get power dvd to play some dvd's

Are there any other reported problems of power dvd not playing the video of some DVD's?  I am unsure whether all DVD's are affected, but certainly it is power dvd that has problems with Windblinds.  Any fox I wonder?  I have to unload WB if I want to watch a movie in it!

haven't had that problem with watching dvd movies with windowblinds applied. Check your configurations on your power dvd. I use Windvd great little plug-in to the windows media player.

It's a known issue with a some DVD players when there's per pixel alpha blending items on screen (can be WB or OD or any other pp Alpha-blended app).

Some have reported success by fiddling with the overlay settings in the particular DVD players.

I have a problem with Power DVD 5.0. But this only happens when certain skins are loaded with WB5 (and also occrued with WB4.6). Anyways.. The problem is that with some skins, when I try to put Power DVD into Full Screen (by double clicking), the picture doesnt go into full screen. What happens is that the picture of the normal, unmaximized window goes to the top left part of the screen, and the rest of my screen is just black. Other than this, the dvds play properly, and I have tried fooling around with the settings, but nothing has worked out. This is the one sole reason why I haven't purchased WB yet. I want this issure resolved, and only then will i be purchasing this product. I use Power DVD daily, and it is a bother to unload the skin that I like every time I need to play a dvd in full screen mode.

BTW.. I am using Windows XP, and the skin (one of many) that doesn't work for me is the VistaXP skin. The skin DogmaX4, on the other hand, works problem free with Power DVD.
