Text alignment in Windowblinds Theme: Start button

Cannot align properly

I find that with some of the themes that I have tried, the Start menu button doesn't appear as the designer intended. For example, with the devoir theme, the word "start" on the start menu button appears too low and is slightly cut-off.

This could be a result of several factors, the theme was not built for 5.0 and my start bar/task bar area is two rows high.

I tried using Wincustomize to change the settings but poking around isn't the most efficient way. Could someone please direct me to a "bible" / "manual" of the various settings and their purpose. This will certainly be useful for me when I attempt to construct an entire theme from scratch. In the meantime, if you know how I can tweak the settings to not have a start menu button with the words "start" chopped off / misaligned, please let me know!

Thanks

Many WB skins have the text as part of the graphic.  Are you running in large fonts mode? (As that would make the button stretch)

My guess would be, the problem is caused by this, or large fonts, as Neil mentioned. Most skins are not designed for double row taskbar.
If you resize your taskbar to one row, how does the start button look?

I'm assuming you mean SkinStudio [Wincustomize is a web site]. There are some helpful links in the Help menu > Help on the Internet.
