Vista Skin?

Where?

Hi,

I just downloaded WindowBlinds 5.0 so that I could try the great Vista skin shown in the screenshot at the top of WindowBlinds.net. Anyone have any idea where that skin is?

Thanks!

The only "blind" I see on the main page of WB.net is the Christmastime Blind which has a button under it that can be downloaded from right there.
If you're referring to some of the screen shots on the other pages of WB.net, it's most likely the Arrow Blind and it comes with WindowBlinds5. (Arrow is the most Vista looking of the included blinds in the program).
If you have the trial, be aware that semitransparent and transparent blinds will not work with any blinds that are not included with the program (ie...Arrow's transparency will work, but if you download something off the net either here at WinCustomize or another skinning site, it's transparent parts will not be transparent in the trial version.)

I'm sorry, I meant the one on the StarDock home page, here is a link to the screenshot https://www.stardock.com/news/templa45.jpg. Also, I downloaded the WB 5.0 (free/trial) version and it doesn't appear to have an 'Arrow' style.

Thanks!

In the main window of the WB set up screen (It says WindowBlinds Configuration at the top left and SKINS in the top right area), there's a listing of all the skins you have installed with the program and downloaded from the web (they're on the bottom area with a small portion of them showing; in alphabetical order). You need to hit the button that says Rebuild List and wait a few seconds. Then use the scroll bar on the bottom to scroll to Arrow (by Mike Bryant). Click on that skin and then hit the Apply This Skin Now text in the middle right of the screen preview area. See my screen shot below.
Arrow is DEFINITELY one of the included skins with WB5 (both Trial and Paid versions.)

OK, I did a fresh install of WindowBlinds, non beta. There is NO! Arrow skin in there. I even looked at the windowblinds directory, no arrow. I can vouch for what James sees.

To quote the WB Developer, Neil Banfield:
transparency is not left out of the shareware version. We include Aura, 5imple Alpha, Cyclops & DogMax4 which all support transparency in WB5 shareware, we just don't support it on downloaded skins.

I was mistaken on the name of the included skin...it was Aura not Arrow. The one shown in the screen shot is, however, the Arrow Skin by the same author of Aura (Mike Bryant). You will not however, be able to use the Arrow skin's transparency if you download it if you have the demo version of WB5.

VistaXp by KOL has been removed from everywhere since he got an email from Microsoft asking for it to be taken down since it conflicted with their interlectual property rights.  Lucky, I downloaded it ages ago and still have it!
