Can't Uninstall OD Components

SDC Doesn't List My Applications

My ObjectDesktop subscription has expired (intentional) and now Stardock Central will not even list my installed applications let alone let me uninstall them. This is very irritating. Can someone here give me some insight on this issue?

Thanks in advance and y'all have a merry Christmas!

Maybe because your subscription expired, no sub. no access.

So what you are implying is that I need to "pay" Stardock in order to "remove" applications? Hmmm...

that shouldn't be right - it should still show you what you have installed
however - I just opened SDC offline - told it to stay offline & it's still searching (4 minutes now).

Yes, irritating even though my subscription is good (renewed recently)
installed products should still show in 'start'
if there is something you really want to uninstall now, try this: Link. It was made to unistall SD products.

Now I got the browser part to go back online, but it still can't find my progs and it won't close.

Had to kill it via Task Mgr.

Make sure to drop an email to support@stardock.com to get this logged. The zapper has worked for me in the past but you shouldn't have to take that step

No that was not what I was implying. If the zapper Bichur has link to does not get everything, make sure all Object Desktop apps are unloaded then delete OD folder, reboot then run something like CCleaner to get rid of rest of files, documents and settings folders, with .exes gone CCleaner will remove these, also use it to clean your registry.

I had to expand the "Demos" section and there they are. Curiously not obvious since they are not "demos". Oh well. Problem is basically solved.

Stardock's approach simply doesn't make sense to me sometimes. I think the concept of SDC and OD is great but I've been not real satisfied with the implementation. I suppose that's why I let my subscription lapse. Maybe I'll revisit this stuff in the future when it seems a little more user-friendly and logical.

Thanks for the replies, all. Appreciated.

Have a good 2006!!!
