One of my 'frustations' with the mini map is that you cannot scroll this window.

I am looking for an undiscovered area to send a colony ship or scout to and need to go to the main map first do select the area i want to see in the mini map (zoomed in as i play on large map) before i see the area i want.

It would be so much easier to just click you mouse the same as in the main map and scroll to whatever you wan to see

Unfortuntaly that would require a major overhaul in the MiniMap system    Which, at this point, there's not time for

However, perhaps we can do something to ease your pain...we'll chat about it and get back to you

Tks, what would help is to show the stars on the main map even when there has been no ship yet to view the sector so it
shows what is on the mini map regarding stars. As soon as you visited the sector you see the normal stuff like planets as usual.

Hmm...upon further inspection, it looks like the middle mouse button seems to perform the feature youve requested!

You can tell how often I use the minimap

I'm very happy to discover this, that's been one of my main minimap gripes. The other one is that the buttons that are near the minimap overlap it, so sometimes I hit those buttons clicking on the minimap near the edges.

Some I would REALLY like for the minimap is the ability to rotate it. I will often play from an angle different than the minimap, IE not looking North always, and i like the MiniMap to be closer to my main view. (even if i can only rotate in 90 degree increments.)
