Background Color?

With WB5 I can't find the option to disable skins from changing my background (wallpaper) color. Everytime I reboot it gets changed from black to blue for example.
Any ideas?

I know u can use skinstudio to manually change a new skins color but that gets annoying for every new skin.

configure, basic setting, enhanced desktop elements (on right), uncheck apply wallpaper

I have the exact oposite problem - when I apply a new skin the included wallpapers fail to load!

Anyone else have this happen?

do you have 'apply wallpaper' checked?

I just tried changing the theme background color in display propeties appearance tab, it told me that option is not available in the shareware version - I have the paid version (WB5).

kinda sux.

if you just like a colored background (no pic), until something gets worked out: create solid color pic and apply it as wall.

other than that, so far i got nothing...sorry

having WB ignore the theme color (box right above applying the walls) doesn't work either. I think it's tied to the properties/appearance/theme color button lock due to it thinking all WB's are shareware

The desktop background color is set by the skin. If you change it with Display properties, it will be reset the next time the skin is applied.

It may be a pain to edit each skin, but that the only option, if you want the change to be permanent.
