Minimum system requirements - Graphics cards

Intel 82nnn GM/GME controller

I've looked for this on the web page, and opened the forum threads that look to have any reference to graphics. So since I can't find it there, I am asking: What are the minimum graphics adapter specs that GCII will accept?

If I missed the information, just flame me^W^Wtell me where to go and I'll go look for it.

Thanks!

If you go to where you download the game and highlight GC2, look at the bottom of the page, find and click on History for this info and any other changes made.

"+ Minimum requirements: Pentium II 600 MHz with a GeForce 3 level card (or ATI 7500) or
better that has at least 64MB of video memory"

This is the last reference I could find.

it also works with intel graphic chipsets (855 and beyond) which is GOOD....

My Radeon 7500 has 32 MB of RAM and it actually works without a problem. IBM laptop.

So somehow the minimum specs are higher than what they really are.

Well knowing Brad & Co., they're probably more likely to ere on the side of caution and therefore list the requirements as being too high, rather than risk low-balling them....

Follow-up:
Is it likely that the game will test the PC and come back with a diagnosis of whether the game will run or not? If so, it would be better to have the "fail" results say something like: "Gee, your PC is a dog, and this game will be painfully slow, but if you want to continue - it''ll be on YOU, not us!"

The bad way to handle a 'fail' result is for the game to say "Nope, you don't meet the minimum - buh bye." -- with a return to the desktop.

Would it be too much to ask for the demo to have the same test as well?

There are a few minimum things like memory and hardware acceleration that it checks and will notify you if it's going to have a problem.  The demo will have this check.
