Maximum activations reached.....again.

Guess I better stop testing the beta....

Sorry to bother, but could someone reset my account?

I think testing has reached an end for me, though I can no longer use WB5 beta.

Thanks one way or the other. ;p

Corky,
What app are your referring to. The only one I have seen do this is Multiplicity, and it is a COMPLETE pain in the butt to reactivate it. At least it has been for me. Good luck with that one.

Skinstudio has been a pain lately. I think it is leaking as I need to restart the program, sometimes rebooting, occasionally to often. WB5 is working fine though. I hope to see a bunch more skinning features either brought back or added for the per pixel.

Sorry Corky, I didn't want to flood the section with reports.

It is WindowBlinds5 beta.

I have been using every function I can think of in my programs trying to "break" WB5 beta to verify stability and compatibility with all the programs I use.

I have also done a lot of installing of some other programs, such as the free Visual Studio programs from MS, as well as some Stardock programs (ObjectBar, Right Click, etc.) to look at them for potential mini tutorials.

All of this leads to quite a few clean installs of the OS to remove possible bad data in testing, and to truly clean the registry.

As I understand it, WB Activation is an anti-piracy measure, which makes sense to me - although I am now in a position of having to use Luna. I guess it is not so bad, but would prefer to use WB5 beta.

SKS is definately leaking. With it open my CPU starts to crawl up to 100%, but will not go back down.

I been noticing explorer running up around 85mb when it normally doesn't surpass 33mb to 35mb I had figured it had to do with a "combination" of programs I was using. I haven't been using SKS lately but now I wonder if it might not be related to WB5.

I don't have as many programs installed as most of you probably do, but I don't see any of these problems. Using WB5 and all of the latest betas for everything else. Explorer runs at 14MB even with four or five programs running, With SKS and WB open my CPU runs at 8% and at 26MB and 10MB respectively. The only possible conflict with WB5 is Dogwaffle PDPro 3.5, if I minimize the buffer window everything freezes. This is probably a bug in PDPro as I haven't tried it yet with WB unloaded. Not that I haven't had problems with WB5 and everything else freezing loading blinds, it is a beta. I've been a user since April and one thing I have noticed is that things work differently for different comps and there seems to be no rhyme or reason for it. Just had my one year anniversary using a computer. Many things to learn and adapt to.

The only problem I have lately is my mouse pointer ending up in a corner of my screen when any "load" is put on the system, especially explorer operations and mapped drive browsing. I attributed that to CursorXP free version. But I only use Bootskin, CursorXP, IconPackager, SKS and WB5 betas. Did a clean OS install 3 days ago.
