Shortcut for Excel file doesn't work if MS Excel is already open.

Friends,

Hi! I just downloaded ObjectDock 1.2 Free and started using it. I added a shortcut for an Excel file (c:\folder\file.xls). The point is...

- If Excel is already open, the shortcut doesn't work.

- If Excel is not open, the shortcut works perfectly well.

I tried to put something like this...

"c:\progs\msoffice\office10\excel.exe" /t "c:\folder\file.xls"

... in the shortcut, but it didn't work out.

Why does that happen? Is it because it's the Free version?

Hope you can help me.

Thank you, guys.

Hugs,

Bruno

ObjectDock Properties > Advanced Options > "When shortcut is run, if program is already running, bring it to the foreground only".

You want that setting un-checked.

Night Train, I don't wanna call Excel only. I want it to open an Excel file automatically.

Koasati, that setting is already unchecked.

Any other suggestion?

Thank you guys.

I also have this problem. Is there anyway to fix it? Or, have the developers given any attention to this at all?

keep your excels in one folder
create an odock shorcut to that folder - use menu view
