Are Sony gonna stick it to console users too ?

Worst case scenario is that you buy a game, launch it on your own console. A fortnight later luck has it your console burns out. If this came to pass then one possibility is that your new console wouldn't be able to play the game you only just purchased 2 weeks ago as your game was effectively registered to your old console.

This may well be scaremongering ? But rumours about Sony's business plans that may have been dismissed a week ago may not be dismissed quite so quickly now.
Keep in mind that during the SonyBMG debacle the following was attributed to the President of Sony BMG's Global Digital Business from an interview in which he says
