WindowFX doesn't start on startup

I use Windows XP x64

My WindowFX won't start when my x64 Windows XP starts. Of course I have checked that I want it to start automatically and that I want to see the icon but still it won't start. I have to go to SC to start it manually every time.

I have tried checking and unchecking the option and rebooting several times but still it doesn't do it.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance for your support.

what version of WindowFX? a beta?

If nobody has an answer yet (it may be tied to same reason WB5 didn't have a systray icon at 1st, I don't know) have you tried going to the Startup folder, right clicking, new shortcut, browse to WindowFX - as a workaround?

If you are running WB5, there is a known issue of the unhappiness between the two. It has been recommended not to run WindowFX along with Windowblinds 5 beta (any version). The issues have a large range of adverse affects, including but not limited to: corruption of titlebars, inability to skin, transparency effects' corruption, crashing during window dragging (if window dragging effects are enabled).

The best answer to this problem would be: do not run the two together until WindowFX has a new release.

Happy skinning!

Hi guys!

Thanks for trying to help. I took Bichur's advice and it works great that way. I'm not running WB5 because the latest version won't run with x64 even thou it is advertised as fully compatible.

Thanks for all the help! Case closed.

See how the active window's titlebar looks a little ODD?

Looks like you turned on the WindowFX lights feature.
