Today I downloaded the CopperDeck WB% blind and loaded it with the tool tip. Using FireFox at the time. It took a while and when it did load FireFox was blank and the download also was. CopperDeck loaded on top of the previous blind Colony. I could still see header text from Colony under the transparency. Refreshed through WB, didn't help. Restarted and everything was fine. Went back to FireFox and it was fine. The next time I started up and went to FireFox browser it was in German. This also happened when I tried to load a blind through Display Properties a couple of weeks ago. Don't use Display properties anymore because of this.

which version of WB?
if it's not the Beta, right click the tray icon and go into configure WB.
under Window Blinds, UI settings...which language is selected?

Sorry, I got interrupted by work. I'm using WB4.90g. I've used the tool tip load a couple of times since WB was updated to fix the tooltip no load problem and it worked fine. I've had the German start page a couple of times but didn't make the connection between the two till this happened. I can't use display properties to load a blind because it hangs and crashes FireFox and freezes my computer. The German thing doesn't come up after a restart, only after I go to stand by and later go to the internet. I never shut down. Not sure if this coincidence or something that happens when FireFox crashes. The only time I've had FireFox crash is when I've had a blind hang when loading. Configuration has worked perfectly for me. So no display properties or tool tips for me.

The only place that I can get blinds to load without crashing is through the Menu accessed from the "Windowblinds" button on the appearance page. If I use the drop down box on the same page it never completes the change, I have to reboot and the previous blind is still showing.

Now for something completely different. After downloading CopperDeck WB5 and changing skins a couple of times I noticed that I now have a CopperDeck icon in the upper right hand of any Windows window, My Computer, My Docs, etc., the icon is in place of the Windows Icon that used to be there. This occurs in any blind I try. I unloaded Window Blinds, reverted to Classic and its still there. Assuming that Window Blinds was really unloaded I tried Display Properties and changed to Windows XP. Still there. Evidently Window Blinds never really unloads now, I think, not sure. What's strange is that Display Props works now with no problems, when before it hung and crashed even with the very latest update. Today anyway, maybe tomorrow it will crash. I loaded WB5 blinds with DP online and off with no problems. The first thing I tried was deleting the Copperdeck blind, forgot to mention that. Bichur, I always have English selected, my three weeks of college German didn't stick to well and it was long, long ago. Sorry if I wasn't clear about it just being the start page to FireFox. Shouldn't have waited until ten minutes before I had to leave for work.

This link shows what I mean about the CopperDeck logo replacing the windows logo in all my blinds. Its not drastic but it is annoying. http://img402.imageshack.us/my.php?image=102820050547478rb.jpg

You have applied an icon theme which is why the icons remain even when you unload WindowBlinds.

To change it back, open IconPackager and reset the icons from there.

Neil, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. As you can see in the screen shot I had DE Evolution Black icon package installed. But there was something wrong with IP. As I was floundering around trying restore and various things all my themes disappeared from the preview window except for windows default and featured package. I think it happened when I hit search. I uninstalled IP and the CopperDeck logo reverted to normal. This CopperDeck thing appeared only after the tool tip crash. After reinstalling IP everything seems to be fine. AS I have mentioned in other threads I have had few problems with the WB5 beta, nothing with installation, activation or display. Just the few times it has crashed when installing a theme and these two weird things that happened after crashes.
