Weather icon doesn't reflect current conditions

I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this: the weather icon that the weather docklet displays isn't always accurate.

The docklet is set for my region and seems to update itself ok (I get temperature changes and some weather changes), but for instance, today is rainy and windy and all I get is the "cloudy" icon. I checked the icons folder and all the icons are in there. If I double click on the docklet it takes me to weather.com where it shows what I already know - it's rainy and windy (and the site shows the appropriate icons). And we're talking the remnants of Wilma, so it's serious rain and wind. So how come the docklet doesn't show the corresponding icon?

As you can tell, I have too much time on my hands.....

Hi,

Which docklet exactly? The docklet gets the weather information from a weather service. So chances are if the information is incorrect, the weather service may be outputting it incorrectly (A weatherman wrong? shock and horror! )

Hi,

It's the weather docklet that comes with ObjectDock+ 1.2. I figure it's a weather.com problem, yet when OD takes me to the site, I get accurate information. I also tried installing the "XML Weather" docklet, but that didn't change anything. While I don't trust much that weathermen predict, I thought that the info the weather service outputs could at least match their forecast.

I have the exact same issue. For example, weather docklet says 12 F and when I click on it, it takes me to weather.com which reports 9 F. Even right clicking and choosing "Update" does not correct it.

ditto.  the 'update' feature doesn't seem to do anything, and the temp. listings on the icon seem to lag way behind the actual listings if you click on the icon.  is there any way to make it update faster?  i'd say we need a better weather docklet, IMO.
