SDMCP.exe causes explorer.exe to hang during startup

Recently I started getting an issue where explorer would hang on system startup. I had been just restarting the explorer process to get around it, but recently I've found that if I end the SDMCP.exe process, explorer continues to load fine.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Which version of Windows (including service packs) and which version of Stardock Central are you using?

In Stardock Central go to "Tools" > "Settings". There will be two options. "Enable MCP SmartStartup" and "Enable MCP Notification Area". Disable both those options, close Stardock Central and reboot.

Email into Support and we can email you a new copy of the file to see if that helps.
