I have problems with WindowFX, please read.

I installed WindoFX on my new comp which has WnXP Pro SP2 and a 7800GTX card, all I need from WindowsFX is to make the icons on my desktop small and hide the text something I've been doing on my old comp with no problems whatsoever.

Well it DOES make the icons small but it won't hide the text, so I say ok, it's good however it slows down my comp BIG TIME and I dunno why it's an uber powerful comp 2x512MB RAM Athlon 64 3500+ and a the best GFX card.
I've been running WindowFX on an Athlon 1.3GHz, GeForce 2 MX 32MB WindowsXP Pro SP1 and 256 RAM with NO PROBLEMS no slowdown no nothing.

Is there a problem with Service Pack 2 I'm not sure which version of WFX I have I forgot lol either 2.12 or 2.11.

It's probably related to that Athlon 64. Most applications are not written to take advantage of that processor. In fact windowblinds has only been "ported" to that system in the last couple of releases. I'd imagine they will address this in the future. You might want to try IconX instead. I believe you can do the same things you mention with it (plus a few more)

I see, but man I'm using a 32 bit version of XP not the 64 bit one. I know many games and programs don't work with WinXP 64 so I'm not using that.
Well I'll give that IconX thingie a try and see how I like it, if anyone has any more ideas as to how to fix my WindowFX peoblem please post.
