Why is it that when I right click on the KeePass icon the task bar the Dock Entry Properties option is grayed out so I cannot change the icon. It is possible however, to change the icon in the system tray when KeePass is minimised to the system tray. I tried putting an entry into the theme's .ini file manually but this doesn't seem to work.

Can you change the original icon in the programs sub-directory, or where ever it is stored?
If so, try assigning a high quality icon (".ico") that way - and then run in the dock.
For the system tray, just hold down the "Ctrl" key while clicking to invoke the image dialog.

No 'fraid not the icon is embedded in the .exe file.
Thanks for the tip on the system tray. The system tray was not a problem though that bit always worked fine.

I downloaded KeePass to see what was going on with the taskbar icon. The "Dock Entry Properties" option isn't grayed out on my machine........ it not there at all.
I did find a work-around......... Edit > Options > Interface tab > "Minimize to tray instead of taskbar"
This option removes the taskbar icon, which is a plus (to me), because I really don't need an icon in both the tray, and taskbar, for the same program.

You could change the program's 'exe' icon if you had IconPackager.
