How can I 'Clean Install'?

How can I 'Clean Install'?
I've not used OD+ for a while, but installed the upgrade from 1.11(I think) to 1.20. My docks looked crud with too many "?" icons. So i ran uninstall and reinstalled, thinking this would put me back to a 'new OD+'. Unfortunately it didn't seem to do it as it didn't recover the default docks that I think came with the original.

Still I'm happy to persevere but would still like to start with a wholly fresh install.

How may I achieve that?

Cheers,

nealah,

Try unloading ObjectDock, and then clearing the cache by deleting the Object Dock folder in "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock" folder.

Note - you will need to select "Show hidden files and folders" in My Computer: "Tools > View Tab > Folder Options" to view the address above.

For more on clearing the cache, you can see my mini tutorial here http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?SID=5463&AID=82461

This will force ObjectDock to load with the default settings.

Forgot to include the clean install procedure in case you still want it.

1 - Save any images, backgrounds, themes, docklets in the ObjectDock sub-directory that you installed or created after installing the program. For more on the file structures, you can review here http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?SID=5463&AID=82930

2 - Unload ObjectDock

3 - Uninstall ObjectDock and reboot computer

4 - Delete any ObjectDock folder left in "C:\Program Files\Stardock" folder

5 - Delete the ObjectDock cache folder (see my comment above)

6 - Reinstall ObjectDock Plus

7 - Reboot computer

8 - Start ObjectDock Plus, and test for functionality

9 - If all is well, copy or move any saved files back to the correct locations in the ObjectDock sub-directory

10 - Have fun.

That worked great. I also followed the 'clean install procedure and that too worked great.

Thanks for the swift response.
