DOWNLOADING SKINS

Hi,
This is sweetbabyred, I have been a member for awhile now. Just recently when I download any windowblind it downloads, but when I go to use it there is nothing in the folder I downloaded. There are too many to list, but just a few are SHADOW2, CAFFEINE, MUSTANG, TRES ROCAILLE BOIS. I don't understand what's wrong. I want to get more skins, but I get frustrated because nothing is in the folders. Have you had this problem with anyone else? If not can you help me?
Thank you

This might be due to MS Windows SP2 update. If so this link might help Link

have you tried opening that wba in e.g., Winzip? and unzipping it into a subfolder(named just like the skin)inside Windowblinds directory?

This is in response to Develper Lantec. I just want to say thank you for you response. I tried what you said and to no avail I downloaded one of the newest skins the way the tutorial said to and when I double clicked on it the folder was empty. What am I doing wrong? I also see that some of the newest skins requires windowblinds 4.6 how to I upgrade to the newest version? Thank you for you help

how to I upgrade to the newest version

If you have a current registered version - update it through the Stardock Central browser
I'm not sure what the free version is up to

Hope you haven't hit your download limit.

Check what kind of file you are downloading. If the extension is .wba then you shouldn't be having any difficulties. If it doesn't open automatically after downloading, I usually use the Windowblinds config screen to manually "Install skin from disk" .
If the file you are downloading ends in .zip , then usually you just unzip into WB folder as is.
I'm not understanding why you are needing to open a folder because you don't download folders. Anyhow it sounds possible you have reached a download limit.

Thank you for your help I finally got it working I right click on the download button then I click save target as and insert it into my windowblinds folder. It worked.
Oh another question, how many windowblinds are you allowed to download with the free version. I know I haven't downloaded that many. Also I upgraded the version to 4.6 and it only seems to stay for a little while then goes back to 4.5 version. Is the 4.6 not free? Thank you for answering my questions.

500mb is the limit for non-customer downloaders, but if your a member as you say then there's no limit.

is it showing 4.5 when you mouse over the tray icon? right click it and choose 'about' and see if it says 4.6

Yep. My bad "Subscribers" have no limit.

500mb? I think a visitor can download 5mb and if you become a member its 50mb. Unlimited for current subscribers and software purchases.
