Being from that community;

-Maybe a segment on skinning, freeware vs Widgets (i.e. Rainlendar vs widgets)
-Alternative shells.
-Alternative OS
-Skinning in other languages (making myself a spot here)
-The life as an Open Source software.
-Hardware review

I know most of the are pretty vagues, but then again, you guys have to come out with the ideas

( I feel like a post whore, i'm in all the threads so far.)

Yesterday Microsoft announced two pricing levels for its new Xbox 360. What does that mean for the video game industry? Will Sony follow suit? Who would be incline to pay for the "full" version versus the "core" version? If people buy it w/o the hard drive, how will that hurt developers?

here is an idea.

How about Ready made packs for customizing your PC.
i.e.Link
Link

Maybe that would be better in UtS

Topic suggestions:
+ The new Google Desktop and Google Talk, and somehow pimp the #stardock and #neowin irc channels.

+ WB and SKS 4.6, along with WB 5.0... pimp Under The Skin here.

+ Movie review! Just for the heck of it... talk about Fantastic 4 or something.

I think the idea of increasing the regular spots the show has is brill but I I'd rather see less topics covered more thoroughly than packing more in to the same airtime.

Of course a great solution there is to increase the show runtime 60 minutes would be a sweet spot.

If airtime could be increased then I can think of a myriad of ideas that I'd like to hear. A music track in each show from some unsigned unheard of musician with some geek/tech related story that ties them into the shows theme.

A quick section plucking some choice comments from the main websites involved, essentially promoting the said sites and the users at the same time.

A Q&A section, listeners either have their questions read out by Kristen then answered by guest or send their question in audio format.

A wee section covering online urban myths.

A look at who geeks are, I'm sure most geeks are now proud of who they are what they stand for but the masses still stereotype the geek as a socially inept brain on legs. So anything that highlights how things really are would be great to hear. Examples of geek movie stars for instance.

Related to Starddock, the odd reference to a particular product, what it is and why you would want it. Essentially an advert really but in moderation I have no beef with advertising. There will surely be a lot of listeners over time that don't know cool things like ObjectDock exist. My mother who is a complete newb couldn't manage without her OD now, so it has a lot of mainstream appeal. Taking that a step further, tying said adverts in with community comments, why personA uses programB, just little insights like that over time.

I think I could sit here indefinetly writing suggestions lol so best I stop now and keep the post manageable.
