Problem with weather widgets

I have noticed that my weather widgets (all designs) have stopped displaying the current weather conditions (temperature, humidity etc.) in many cases just showing N/A, depending on the widget.

Any thoughts?

Do you have to use a proxy server to gain access to the internet? If you need to supply proxy authentication, very few widgets support this. I believe that they need to use ActiveX controls to cover all possibilities for getting net access, but unfortunately not too many people do this.

I do not have to use a proxy server. They have been working fine for several months and have stopped working in the past 24 hours.

I think it might be a problem with the weather server. I've just added a weather monitor to ObjectDock and it isn't picking anything up. The one with Natural Desktop works just fine, but that uses another weather server. Perhaps we just need to wait until Monday morning when they bounce the servers...

Try turning off your firewall and see if that's blocking your connection to the weather server.
Sometimes a Windows update will cause that to happen if you're using the Windows XP firewall.
If you're using a 3rd party firewall, such as Norton, a recent update could also have caused the same effect.

Natural Desktop is also not working. I believe the problem is weather.com. Their site is down.

I had a question concerning the Silica Weather widget. Everytime I start up my computer, I have to enter my zip code. Is there anyway to set it so it remembers my zip?
