Natural Desktop Questions

Is there a free trial download for N.D. or would I have to buy it outright? Am I correct in that I could change the current day's scenario if I wanted something different? Could I create my own themes with my own sounds, or is everything pre-set? Are there additional themes/soundscapes available? Is there music included or are there only nature sounds? I'm running WinXP.

Not such much as save a theme but manipulation of the theme.
Maybe in the update showing up today... I'm on rural dial-up, it says it's 42mb...it'll take me a couple of days til I can look.

Thank you for your response, Sir Bichur. There isn't much info about Natural Desktop at Stardock's site, which is why I asked so many questions. I have dialup too, and I'd probably get disconnected if it's 42 MB in size...and it'd take maybe 4 hours to download if I wasn't disconnected....

I have a question too. I asked when ND came out, but never got an answer....... Is the portal fixed in the right top corner of the desktop, or can it be moved?

I don't have it set up on the dual system, so I can't really say for sure, but I still think you should be able to. Don't hold me to that since it will take you about 3 days to download it...........

To answer a few of the questions:

I'm afraid there is no trial, and Natural Desktop only supports the primary monitor, although it can be moved to any corner of it, and hidden. Only nature sounds are included, but you can specify both custom sounds to be played in the different times of the day, and the wallpapers and bacground colours to be used depending on the season and time of day, or just selected randomly from a folder on a configurable timer.

You are also able to customize the weather conditions (as well as set them to the weather data from innumerable stations - we counted! - from over 180 separate countries).
