Not clear on what is going on here.

Are you saying that after you ran Bootskin program and chose a prepackaged skin, that you restarted the computer to check it out, and nothing happened - then restarted and ended up at the Boot Options screen?

To get to the Boot Options screen (though it sounds like your system encountered a problem and displayed the Boot Options screen), just hit F8 after pushing the power button.

If this is the case, I would choose "Last known good configuration" and boot to that. This will place you at the last time you successfully logged on to your account.

At this point, I am not sure whether you will want to continue with Bootskin, or just settle for using the other customization programs.

I run WindowBlinds, IconPackager, and ObjectDock without any issues (as well as DesktopX and LogonStudio occassionally).

If "Last known...." does not work, then you can try Safe Mode:

Either account is fine, if you have administrative privileges, just use your account.

Boot into safe mode, and try to run Bootskin program and use it to restore the default boot screen.

You will need to return your system to using the default boot screen before uninstalling Bootskin if that is your plan.

Note - Bootskin is not compatible with all BIOS versions, and is not supported by Stardock. The only support would be either here or via a google search. There are alternative versions of Bootskin, which you can try if this one is not compatible (and if you feel like it) - they are available on the Bootskin page.

I hope this helps.

nothing happened

You mean that Windows would not boot up or no bootscreen where displayed.

p.s. I found it very hard to read what you said as there seem to be a few punctuations missing. Made it very hard to understand what you where saying.

Normally, you would start Bootskin > select a boot screen > click Preview button to see the image that will be displayed > click Apply button to apply the boot skin > close the program > restart your computer to test functionality.

I just tested by installing the Bootskin program version 1.05a, and performed the above procedure and picked the TOON boot 1.5 - all worked fine.

Perhaps try this procedure, but after installing the Bootskin program, reboot your computer - then start it.

Also, when you post anything, you might want to place at least a space between your periods and the first letter of your next sentence. It makes the post and/of comment easier to read.
