taskbar issues

im using objectdock 1.2 plus and im having a problem that is kinda bugging me.
first and foremost, my OD is set to 'hide the windows taskbar' everytime its running, but when it does, all the windows i open subsequently, extend all the way to the bottom of the screen and hence it's irritating to be moving my mouse around a webpage and the OD icons are bobbing up and down. any suggestion on how to permanently make the window size just above the OD? (to make it seem as though OD is a replacement taskbar) the only solution i have is taskbar settings -> and to check "keep the taskbar on top of other windows" but i have to do this everytime i restart the computer and it can get kinda irritating, all suggestions would be appreciated.. thanks in advance.

ObjectDock currently does not integrate with Windows in a way that tells the explorer shell to stop at a certain point, so explorer.exe is behaving the same way it would with "Auto-hide the taskbar".

The only way I know of to work around this issue, is to open your programs and size the windows to your liking and then make sure to close the application with the window in the size you want it to reopen.

Note - you can turn off "Mouse-activation" in the Dock Settings panel to keep dock icons from popping up on top of your window as well.

Perhaps someday the developers will be able to introduce the functionality of preventing windows from covering the dock - I am not a coder, so I do not know if this is possible with the current hooks available or not.

Sorry I could not offer a better alternative.

Is this just a plus issue?

I use the free... set ObjectDock to bottom, always on top, have taskbar to always be on top of other windows -the only option checked, then use OD to hide the taskbar. This just turns the bar 'invisible' but the space stays cuz the bar is still there so the windows stop where they normally would which leaves room for objectdock.
