Your relationship...
Or Lack Thereof

You wish he'd ask you out, out to the movies or something, but he doens't. He's supposed to be yours, so how come he never calls? You've trusted him before. He's lied to you, what makes you trust him now? Now everything is just so nuetrel. Sometimes he means well, though he never goes out of his way to show it. Is this the epitome of the 16 year old boy or is there someone out there who will make you feel like a million bucks?
Why do you like him, is it just his charm? It's almost like you have to prod and push and make all the decisions in this relationship. Ohhh, so you've been "going out" 6 months. Big woop-dee-do! What is it with high-schoolers anyway? I mean, it's a bit better than those stupid junior-highers, who think everything's a game.
But really, what is your relationship worth? One day, when it spirals down the drain you'll look back. Will you be happy with the decisions you made? Are you truly living with no regrets like you say you are? Maybe all the hot college boys are just too intimidated by your gorgeousness. I don't know what it is; maybe boys never become men like they're supposed to. What is it all about, this dating game?
You think about him way too much, you know you do. He never even emails you for goodness sakes! Why does he still have you? Why do you always initiate the conversations. It's a wonder he asked you what you wanted to do for Valentine's Day! Of course, you always have to decide; you're the only one who can plan, right? I sure hope it gets better in college. I sure hope there are men, out there, somewhere. Men who want to take the lead, surprise you with roses and chocolates. I hope there are even guys out there who drive out to your house just to surprise you, to pick you up and take you ice skating.
Good greif, what is dating for? Only hopes gone sour because of "lack thereofs". You're passive, passive as they come, you could say. He doesn't deserve you. You deserve better... it's frusterating as hell! He's great, if only he'd try harder. Boys are so stupid. You don't move on because as selfish as this is for you to say, there's no one else out there right now. You're settling for less because you don't know there's better, maybe that's it. You want him to take you in his arms all the time. You want him to not be able to get enough of you. Are these really that new of ages we're living in? Should the girl truly be doing the asking, the chasing, the pursuing. The boy playing hard to get, is that right? I think not. Is it just him or is he really the epitome of a 16 year old boy?
